how do i force it to start windowed?

I am unable to get this Mod to work. I just purchased the game off of Steam yesterday. I was able to get the game to start on its own. Once I downloaded and installed the mod, as instructed above, and I attempt to load the game, it shows the lucasarts and obsidian messages, and then crashes. Any ideas?
