Another option would be to play in windowed mode. Just start the game with the '-w' parameter.

I don't agree. This is just a filter setting which says: "which platforms a game will be playable on". And it is a fact that you can run 32 bit executables on a 64 bit system.
Also it is clearly visible, look at the little penguin icon with the 32, which platforms are currently supported natively. I don't see any problem here at all.

It should be now. There is a filter which is saying "which platforms this game will be playable on" and as you actually can play it on both platforms we have decided to activated the "Linux64" flag after all. If we ever intend to publish native x86_64 versions of our games this is still possible and also supported by Desura.

All I can say for now is, we are working on Airline Tycoon Deluxe and Northland, they will be available on Desura really soon. Next up will be Jack Keane and the Ankh series. The Ankh series will also include Ankh 3 for Linux for the first time ever, but probably not this year.
At the moment there is no final decision about all the other games yet.

Are you on x86 or x86_64? Do start the game in windowed mode use the "-NOFULLSCREEN" command line switch.
