There is a work around for this, I should know where it is located but I am new to the team. Though I have been playing this mod since it's inception.
Exactly what settings are you using Sekra? Tell them that @ Forums.civfanatics.com is one place.
I have mine setup as auto run, when I click play it runs caveman 2 cosmos. This is the recommended way to play the game.
If you choose a map larger then large or huge, you may be trying to play a map your PC can't handle.
What game speed you playing, hell snail is only a couple of turns for most tech. That is a major pivot point of tech in the early prehistoric era one reason. Use a faster speed, I myself love to experience the entire mod. To do that you must play in snail or eons mode.
Animals are used for a purpose lol they are in the stock game dude. Sounds like you don't enjoy this type of mod, it is a shame it is one of the best entertaining mods I have ever played. ;^)
Because Desura doesn't work well installing just any game, I never use it for any games ever!
I always play on Snail speed, this way you experience every part of what the Mod offers. 4980 turns to complete will not take that long. ;)
I make a custom game using Planet Generator 68 with a land mass for each civilization. This gives me time to empire build a bit and before you know it you will meet the other civs in the game. ^_~
Hey Steve, sorry, lost my house, had to get a job, new place to live, had no way for long time to contact anyone. I'm doing good but been struggling a little, demonotaku is living with me.
I've become some what of a console gamer now I guess lol At some point here if I can find a normal job not one working 12 hours a day 5-7 days a week we will get a site back online.
