To get to the most current version of MWLL you need to download and install 0.5.0 (the last "full" installer) from either our site or Desura. Then you will run the auto-updater to pull the incremental releases of 0.5.1, 0.5.2, 0.5.3, 0.5.4, 0.5.5 - there is no cummulative jump straight to 0.5.5 at current. We are working on updating the auto-updater application to allow for this eventually for but the present you have to update iteratively. It's worth it, I promise!

Desura only has the last "full" installer. MWLL has a built in minor version installer (the auto-updater) that pulls the subsequent updates. Desura does not provide an incremental updater system, they expect each download to be a full version. When MWLL 0.6.0 is released (TBD) Desura will be updated again with that version.

We are working on the issue, there is a file versioning problem with the web host and we are aware of it.

MechWarrior: Living Legends has been Crysis Wars only since 0.5.0 - you must have the full version of Crysis Wars patched up to version 1.5, the demo version will not work.

If you purchased your game through Steam there is a WELL documented issue with the format of the keys provided as well as the solution to the issue at our forums: Forum.mechlivinglegends.net

Supporting parallel codebases is a lot more work than you might imagine and there are features in Wars that would not be backwards compatible with regular Crysis (like dual wielding) or simply non-existent (like the map auto-downloader feature).

The goal has always been to move to Wars and we've been very upfront with that position for a very long time. It should come as no surprise.

.NET Framworks 4.0 and 3.5 are not the same thing, install the 3.5 one and you'll be good to go.

Waiting on news posting to be approved by moddb admins. I'm surprised that moddb doesn't have a whitelisting feature for "known good" regular news providers.

Will not work with the Crysis Wars trial. Requires a full version with valid CD-Key to work. Thankfully these can be had for as little as $10 via digital download services if you look.

It's actually 1.21 for Crysis, and 1.5 for Crysis Wars. Please note that going forward and starting with the MWLL 0.5.0 release we will only be supporting Crysis Wars.

We don't supply a full download because it would create two install paths to support. My question to you is: if the destination install computer does not have an Internet connection, what sort of game are you expecting to experience after downloading MWLL as it is a multiplayer-only mod?

Those encountering the "green menu" issue need to download and install the Microsoft update for C++ compiler to make our mwll.dll work properly. Find out more here: Forum.mechlivinglegends.net

As of 0.4.0, MechWarrior: Living Legends is a modification for BOTH Crysis AND Crysis Wars.

Right now the immediate benefit is that there is a larger playerbase for Wars than Crysis. Going forward we will continue to support regular Crysis so long as there is a playerbase for it and there are no technical limitations. Having a split playerbase will also be an influential factor in our decision on how long to extend regular Crysis support.

Anything is possible, but the team currently has no plans to produce a single player campaign.

Please download the direct DL installer for 0.3.2 from www.mwlldownload.com,, do not use the torrent option as that has some known corruption issues. The latest direct DL updater for 0.3.2 should be solid.

We currently have no plans to migrate the MWLL mod to Crysis2 (CryEngine3). We are intending to port the mod over to Crysis Wars for continued development at some point in the future.

We are quite aware that our license with Microsoft prohibits us from selling any game that is produced or otherwise profiting monetarily from its development. However, to call the game "home made" is to do a disservice to all those involved and the quality of the work created.

Hello MechWarrior: Living Legends fans!

Our apologies for not being able to update moddb.com with our latest version release (0.2.0). As our last news update stated, you can obtain MWLL 0.2.0 from Fileplanet, as well as our direct download site: Mwlldownload.com

Please note that 0.2.0 has a stand-alone installer and requires that you first delete your existing 'mwll' folder from the /Mods folder of your Crysis directory. A new 'mwll' folder will be created with the 0.2.0 installer, as well as updated actionmaps under your profile(s).

There are a number of suggestions available in this thread:
"From Serverlist can't connect to the gameservers" at our forums. Use the search!

Unfortunately, without more details it is difficult to diagnose your specific issue. That error message is quite generic and can be delivered for a number of different reasons. One of the most common I have seen is an invalid GamespyID or having a CD Key already in use by someone else. Can you connect to regular Crysis multiplayer servers? I would definitely create an account at our forums for further troubleshooting, moddb is not the place to be asking for help.
