Wow! It looks very good and has a great atmosphere to it!
I emulated the executable you posted on Linux, but had a major bug, so I couldn't use my mouse to look around and switch between buildings.
Can you please export an executable for Linux? :)
dict.cc says that Spanish for download - is that what you meant?
Let me know what you think of the little map :)
Thank you for your feedback :) It's always motivating to read such comments.
A controls menu is already on the todo list, since there was some confuse on that in the last release.
You won't be able to name your character - we're aiming for having an avatar with personality.
Easter eggs are fun to implement :D We already had some thoughts how to get us as developers into the game.. but.. I won't tell you more.. it's a secret! :D
Again, thank you for your comment! I hope you'll keep hanging around here :)
Thank you!
You mean that some textures repeat too often, don't you?
We're going to blend-paint over them the same textures at a different scale, thus they will look less repetitive and have some interesting structure instead ;-)
Note that the valley isn't fully textured (yet) ;-)
Sure our project is "hard work", but it's something we're passionate about :-)
I loved the Rainbow Trash song!! The others seemed incomplete, you are right there ;)
Oh, and I'm part of your fan-base I think ^^
The trailer is hilarious. The texts are not making one dive into the atmosphere (and you have a grammar mistake: it's yourself not your self). The player breathes like an astronaut. The monster at the end does not sound scary but funny. The long intro at the beginning is annoying. The cuts are too quick, the camera movement is too fast. You see: there is big room for improvements ;) I like the ingame visuals.
Not really a rewrite, but there were mayor changes. The script-loading is now hash-based and there are new shaders, real-time lightening.. That means we can have day&night cycles now :)
We use Lamiae, which is a derivate of Platinum Arts Sandbox.
Even though we were quite in public recently, we made a lot of progress behind the scenes. Expect a news post soon ;)
It is kinda ridiculous how you try to be mature by including horror elements. That's not what I meant when saying that the cookie thing seemed like a game aimed at adults made for children... However, I think this idea will be more popular, a lot of people are playing gore games. Also, you have an exciting look on your side.
Where is the trailer you've announced?
It is already included. Press T and write:
/thirdperson 1
and press enter.
I will include a keybind in the Beta release.
This is already on the TODO list ;)
The HUD currently is being redone but we are still lacking modelers. I will start my search for some soon.
Also, Beta 0.1 is released in 5 days.
Whoops, this is a relict of the days the forum was private. Users have to activate their account now themselves.
I unlocked your account.
Argh, try to submit it here, but IndieDB bugs again >:(
I used the filesplater I used for all previous releases, but now I get a http error (multiple checked the link).
0.8 will not exactly be released at the beginning of October, but few days later.
I used graphical tools and not the terminal :p
Your instructions do have a small mistake in the last line (.gz).
Extracting worked, but starting it dropped me a invalid encoded error log. Possibly this happended because my OS is 32bit and not 64bit.

tar: This does not look like a tar archive
tar: Skipping to next header
tar: Exiting with failure status due to previous errors
I disabled the built-in firewall and tried it with the stable version, but there are the same problems again. I can connect to wikipedia while playing using my browser.
So.. Test file?
I'm currently downloading it. I found a weird thing about the download: if you don't use rightclick->save as, it will try to display the archive as txt (and just output cryptic symbols as result).
I found the download links on your website, the archive of the Linux version seems to be broken (archive is not a tar file). I tried to run the Windows version using Wine, but it just played some electronic music.
Awkwardly, it does start in debug mode. But it can't find any word I type in. If I don't run it in Debug mode, it gets stuck at the first loading screen.
It printed the keys.
And yes it shows the pink pig.
Maybe there are problems with connecting to the Internet (blocked?).
Could you give me the address of a server I can connect with?
Hello, I'm from Germany and develop a RPG, too. It is called Kelgar: indiedb.com/games/kelgar
The both downloads on gamefront output a 403 error :(
I do like the sound for the mineshaft, except the wind. It is annoying and doesn't fit. We do currently work on a mine too, and we will use drop sounds and background music for the ambiance.
Oh and I do like the name and the ingame art, but I hate that you use UDK, it does not run natively on Linux.
Hm, updated my version of Löve, but it still is not working properly.
I tried to run it on Linux Mint 12 (zipped source and renamed as .love):

Ha, this is actually empty.
It seems like the program tried to execute it again and again but failed, because it was nothing there.
Thank you for your help.
I compared the performance at the spawn point of both versions and in 0.7 it was even a bit better.
Does it lag on the whole map or just on specific points?
