The AI is better, we use the Dawn of Skirmish AI. We recommend playing at a skill level lower than what you're used to until you get used to the new AI.

We're limited by the original DoW engine, we can only really do what any other unit can do in DoW, with a few tweaks here and there.
Make sure you're playing the latest Soulstorm version, it's much more balanced than the old DC version.
Are you playing against AI? The AI takes a bit of getting used to, as we use the AI developed by the dawn of skirmish AI mod, you may have to play on an AI setting lower than usual.
The relic unit in our mod is the trygon, thanks for the comments!
Are you sure you mean the carnifex? The carnifex model is brand new.
Sorry for the delay, as far as releases go they are up to date, we upload to everywhere at once.
The final release will be out when it's done :).
Do not post that link again sethfc or you will be reported.
Sounds like you didn't install it correctly, make sure you put it into your main dark crusade directory.
The fatal scar error seems to be caused by using the heroes mod, don't activate heroes in the game options when starting a skirmish
I reduced the percentage since Rob put it up by accident. Sorry about that, not that the percentage makes much difference considering that it's impossible to tell how far done the mod is.
Heh we haven't pushed it back to april, don't worry. I'm getting very close to completing all of the visual crap for the mod, I'm hoping to get it to the beta testers for a very short test tomorrow and then hopefully if there aren't any more problems we can release it very soon after that.
The Tyranid mod should not need the mod manager to work, however it does require the latest patch for Dark Crusade which can get from -
Without this the mod will NOT work.
The mod won't be released today. We make vague deadlines to get us to work harder and towards a visible goal, if we knew exactly when the mod would be released then I'd give a date and say 'the next version of the mod will be released on this day', at the moment I've only been saying when we're hoping to get the mod out.
It's half term now so I'm really hoping to finish off this version by the end of the week, the delay has been caused by the things we want changed taking much longer than we predicted. I'm working as hard as I can to get this release finished as soon as possible for you guys, pretty much ALL of my free time has been spent modding for the last couple of weeks.
Left to do - Get the completed sounds in game, get the warrior shooting animation work done and try and setup the team colouring files for units that are easy to do.
Once these are done, we're good to go :).
The map is blood river, rotate the camera and you'll see the mist.
Our current hosting with filefront is perfectly good but thanks for offering SA-Magic.
The new release will only work with DC, it's a proper release, it just doesn't have all of the new features we're working on for the code and the models won't be all that finished.
Hi guys, we're going to release another beta within a week or two, it'll only be temporary until we release a proper release in a couple of months. We want to give you something to play with in the mean time :).
Very nice model, keep up the good work!
The website is down at the moment, hopefully we'll get it up again soon.
Erm... you could try looking a couple of posts down the page, to quote myself -
"Hi guys, we're going to release another beta within a week or two"
Cool it guys! No need to get het up! detail251, don't spam like that in future, I know you were kidding but it just takes up a lot of room :).
People can choose to vote upon whatever basis they wish. Sure we could make a release right now if wanted to, but it wouldn't be pretty, with strange flying trygons, lack of fx and standing ravener corpses. There are a quite a few things we've got left to do to bring together what we have for a release, and we won't just stick some crap together to tie it up to make people happy for a short period of time, we're always trying to make sure that once the novelty factor is over the mod has some kind of longevity.
After that rant, have a good christmas!

Hi I'm Kaveman, current leader of the Tyranid Mod for Dawn of War. Feel free to post any queries you have about the mod here, but a much better idea is to pop over to our forums and ask there, where we'll be able to help you a lot easier.
