It's likely that the "current" version isn't playable anyway. Getting a mod to a playable state is quite a complex process.
The idea was always that things would be harder than in vanilla (even on Easy mode) as at this point everyone has played them and should really be able to handle something a little more challenging. Some of them are definitely over the top though (especially Lands of Solitude and Rokclaw Mountains - I can't deny that those two are completely ******), so I'm working on fixing that right now.
Only the old (0.63) version of Space Wolves works at the moment, as the most recent one (0.76) was released more recently than the last version of Strongholds.
What new update? There hasn't been one since April.
Both bugs are now fixed, thanks.
For posting error logs it's probably better to PM me, rather than clog the comments up.
There is, but the colours won't match up with the dialogue and UI.
You can make your own schemes using the army painter, or you can re-enable the normal ones by going to stronghold_missions_ss/data/art/team_colours/#RACENAME and deleting any files that are 0KB in size.
Unification_Vanilla_LOS shouldn't be needed - I've never included it before and that hasn't caused any problems. It just updates a bunch of vanilla weaponry to fully obey terrain line-of-sight and has nothing to do with the UI.
Can you PM me what your module file looked like before and after you did the manual edit?
1) Night Lords are in the mod's code, but I had to disable them due to a bug in the Night Lords mod that was causing crashes. Since Night Lords has been updated recently I'll probably be re-enabling them in the next patch. As for adding them manually yourself in the meantime, I can't say 100% whether they'll work ok as I still need to check and possibly update some things. You can give it a try though - the worst that will happen is you'll get either a Fatal Scar Error or CTD if you try and play as them, but the rest of the mod will be unaffected.
2) Check and make sure you have the most recent versions of Unification and FreeUI.
Already taken care of. :)
That's the Vostroyan mod again, exactly the same problem as the one you had on Lacunae. Hopefully the Vostroyan mod team will fix it for their next version.
Which cage specifically were you destroying?
EDIT: actually I think I know what the problem is. It's due to a bug in the Vostroyan mod rather than this one, so isn't something I can fix myself. I'll let the Vostroyan Mod team know though.
That's actually already been fixed for the next patch, but thanks anyway. :)
Not sure. There's still some important updates that need to be finished off, and not enough spare time to do so.
Crashes to desktop can sometimes be due to a lack of memory - are you using this? Moddb.com
Sorry for the extremely late reply, I haven't looked at this page in ages. You should be able to just copy most things from this mod into Unification without any problems. The one exception would be the dxp2.ucs file in locale/english. Rather than copy this to Unification, I'd recommend just editing the Unification version to change all the Fal'shia references to T'au.
Got it. :)
All 3 have now been fixed, thanks for the info. :)
So you don't have scarlog.txt from these sessions?
Also, what do you mean exactly by "Chaos Daemons, do not run on this mission in principle."?
That mission's being completely re-done from scratch, so any existing bugs will be gone in the next version.
Amazing stuff as always. :) No Emperor's Touch Bolter though?
Oh yeah, that one. The bug has been fixed ready for the next patch.
You need to use -dev for it to generate logfiles.
Can you PM me your scarlog.txt for that game?
They'll be getting a reduction in difficulty in the next patch.
Not a chance.
Don't worry, you're definitely not the only one. Rokclaw Mountains is getting a re-balance in the next patch though.
That mission is still more or less the same as the original version from Dark Crusade, and hasn't been revised significantly for this mod yet. When I get around to doing so, this will be addressed.
Got it, thanks. Fix will be in the next patch.
But you said it was happening on Pavonis as well though?
