This mod definitely improves on a lot of eyesores and highlights how dated the textures and models in this game are (though I have still noticed a few signs with blurry text here and there).

Sadly, the mod didn't know when to stop. The download includes all sorts of goodies and bonus content up to the point that the 80s vibe is lost (a lot of cars use new models which look inappropriate for the setting), yet a lot of the original setting obviously remains so that it turns out to be neither completely modern nor an HD 80s retro thing.

Finally there's the graphics "fixes": it includes an overbright bloom filter which hurts the eyes, cars have reflections which only add to the former effect and on top of that they seem to have a neon effect beneat them?

To each their own, but it's too much for me. A pitty because there is loads of nice stuff in here.
