This looks amazing but as previous comments already say, this may or may not probably get abandoned really soon. I saw many mods as amazing as this and they never got finished mainly because someone tripped on LSD, wrote the ideas and then figured out he can't do them when it was already too late. I wish you best of luck on this project but my hopes for this becoming a reality are really low.

I strongly recommend that you do this:
1. Download the 1.2.5 .rar and place it in custom_stories>Kidnapped(you will see folders like "maps" in there)
3. Right-click>Extract Here and then just click "Yes" to all the replacing and merging and stuff :p
4. Enjoy the mod!

Give us the hpl.log
It's stored in the Documents>Amnesia>Main>hpl.log
Upload it somewhere... reply to this comment with the download link of it. It's the only way we can help :/ Good luck!

In Amnesia everything is possible. A lot of very ****** up **** too. Especially in this mod. Happy playing!

It's really easy. Just click on 'Me V1.2' right above your comment. Then, click the red 'Download Now' button. And then a box will pop up, saying something about a mirror or 'click here' or something. Anyway, just follow what the pop-up box says and it should be downloaded :P

Hmm if it does not work, you might try to restart Amnesia. Even though it sounds crazy, it works, just like restarting the pc!

When you play a lot of custom stories, their files interfere with each other sometimes, and problems occur. Internal bug though, I cannot fix it. I even got your bug once: restarting fixed it :)

You might check out the video guide here: Youtube.com try to see if you missed anything. When the monster arrives, it must have come through somewhere, right? Well, in this case, it broke a door. Try to look for a room with no door.

PS: If you looked up, you can see Prisoner ID's on some doors. It will help.

Well, there are two keys!
There is one next to one of those green torches, as the note says(which is in front of the main door), and second key is what you picked up at the sewers(Living Room key, definitely not the right one for opening the main door!).
Are you sure you didn't use the Living Room key instead of Main Door key? :P

Well, thank you very much for that :) Even though the story is mainstream, it clearly points out that I didn't bother with it for hours and hours just trying to perfect it. I was much more focused on the feeling and emotion of the player, making the most unexpected scares - thus giving the player quite an enjoyable experience of this mod, seeing by the ratings :] Have fun playing it!

Its called 'custom story' for a reason.
Your criticism just screams that you did not even download this. Ill release a new News post soon as today so you might want to read it. It will indicate my next mod, and the expansion of this mod. Originality in mind.
The plan of this custom story was not to get into the main story much. In which I think I succeeded. Who likes reading 12 pages of text? noone.
I really do think you ask for quite a lot of work in mind and I appreciate that. I like when people are straightforward with their opinions. Your swearing was not needed, though.
The so called rip-off you indicate can be applied to just about 80% of the custom stories. I believe that, at the massive amount of 'you wake up' starts, is not relevant. I did try to make some other kind of beginning, but just would not go into the main story. I mean, can you forget the name of your father in sleep? Nope, but the amnesia potion will do that in just about 10 minutes.

Thank you very much for this little rant though. It will improve the next mod I am working on.

I dont think that you know what happens. Its completely natural to throw in an amnesia potion. So you feel like the character. You dont know who he is, what happened etc. Many great games start off with memory loss. Unless you all also rate them a 1.

Fortunately, the game AutoSaves when entering a new map every time, so you just load the save when you enter the prison(the first time)and play on!

I know, right? I'm a bit surprised that it is taking them this much time :P I hope it gets approved by the end of this day, at least!

which is exactly what i did :) I kinda hate when people dont put a boxlight, then all the lights look unnatural. Instead ive put boxlights under 0.15 (so you still get insanity effects) so its like the original game. Looks perfect to me.
