Shotgun replaces shotgun. If the player already has the shotgun, the auto shotgun is spawned in its place upon map start.

The more recent versions of the mod aren't for EDGE though. Since some time it has been ported over to EDGE-Classic.

What port (engine) and version are you using?

Couldn't decide on one or the other so I decided to just have both.

Yes, the automatic shotgun is still there.

Sorry about that. Version 3.0 addresses this issue.

Grenade Launcher, maybe. As for the trip mines, no. Due to engine limitations it's just not feasible and to be honest I never found much use for them in Duke Nukem 3D anyways so it doesn't feel much like a loss.

Type GOOBERS during gameplay to toggle no-clipping mode, it's listed in DEBUG.TXT. As for the secret wall issues, it's a problem I'm aware of but unfortunaly do not know how to fix.

The old map is gone for technical reasons. I think you can live without it. As for the HUD, it is what it is. I spent about two days redesigning the HUD from the ground up, because several people had issue with being forced to having the status bar as the one and only option. The answer is no, there is no option for it and I am not going to do any more work on it. I am sorry if you do not like it. Thank you.

This is a DOOM mod, it is just the way the player moves. And it can not really be changed in this engine. The only thing you could do is possibly reduce the player speed (setting it to 1 or lower). But that kind of goes against what Wolf3D is all about. If you want a more faithful experience, you could check out ECWolf Maniacsvault.net and this HD patch Forum.zdoom.org

Well, if you insist: Mediafire.com

But don't expect any support for it, it is provided as is.

Anyways, I am designing a new minimal HUD (overlay) in addition to the status bar for the current versions of the mod. There will also be some other improvements, including some things I had forgotten to implement in the first place.

When you pick up the spear the game pauses momentarilly and then takes you to the next level. Just walk out where you came from. I've tested this multiple times, and as far as I can tell it is working as intended. As for cheats, see DEBUG.TXT.

textures showing question marks? This means that either the texture is missing or it can not find it. Please give me an example so I know where to look. What episode/level did you encounter this on?

The status bar however isn't a bug, it is coded that way. I have given some thought on making an additional "minimized" hud, however, it would be difficult due to how the HUD currently functions. The weapon basically sits on top of the status bar, removing it would show a weapon that floats in midair. As for the design, more of a personal preference than bug. I prefer the Mac one over the PC myself. I'm kind of split on the mug though.

glitches? care to eleborate? This new version should in theory have less glitches. The only major difference between old and new version is that I've gone trough and cleaned up a lot of code and implemented the status bar. The old one was really messy and unefficent in places. Bugs is of course is a high priority for fixing so if I know what it is, i'll fix it.

Glad you are enjoying it. Press F2 to quick save during game. It can't be rebound and there is no autosaving I am afraid. Also, pickups flashes can not be disabled I'm pretty sure. As for the weapon wheel issue, I had a look and for me it apears to work properly, weapons are cycled through in their correct order depending if you are going forwards or backwards. It is a little "twitchy" though, something I can tweak and will add to my to-do list. The status bar will remain as is for the time being, the only thing I could do is scale it even further (it is already scaled believe it or not).

Thank you for playing.

1. No. Not unless you remove it manually from the code. If enough people have issue with it, I might. But I kind of like it personally, gives it more of an arcade feeling.
2. I was thinking of doing it several times, however, this means I would have to go through every level and change the texture manually (there is 111 individual levels). This wasn't featured in the original Wolfenstein 3D so I don't feel all too motivated to make the change.
3. No, out of curiosity why would you want it transparent? And making it transparent would make you see the cut-off point of the weapon sprites.

EPK is PK3 and PK3 is just a ZIP file with the extension renamed. So they are all essentially just ZIP files with a renamed extension.

Do you get the same issue with both 32 and 64-bit versions of the engine?

Because it is the port i've been modding for the past 10+ years. When I started it was leaps ahead in terms of modding capabilities which is why I chose it way back when. That has somewhat changed over the years but truth be told I'm not all that motivated to learn another modding langauge just for the sake of switching ports. EDGE has its share of flaws, but I've always found it suitable and have never had any more than minor issues with it.

To play with a specific IWAD use the command line "-iwad [name.WAD]", for example: EDGE.EXE -file DUKEOUT.EPK -iwad DOOM.WAD for Ultimate DOOM, -iwad TNT.WAD for TNT Evilution, etc. As for the fullscreen issue, try adjusting the "monitor size", aka aspect ratio and see if that helps at all. Also, you can open up EDGE.INI and make sure that "fullscreen" is set to 1 (as opossed to 0).

It will technically work but you will get a lot of visual oddities. The mod was designed with stock DOOM monster and decorational sprites in mind.

No, I deleted it. You should not "highjack" other peoples pages without their consent. And to top it of you could have gotten me into legal problems when you uploaded commerical files for free. The doom engine itself is open source (which is how and why we have all these great source ports) while the data (.WAD) files, which contain all the resources, are commerical and can not be distributed freely. You have to buy the game.

Re-packaged version uploaded (2.4c), which includes the fixed version of 3DGE and a slightly beefed up Railgun. All you need is the .WAD(s) from one or all of the DOOM games and you are good to go. These you have to buy (from Gog.com for instance), they can not be distributed freely. That is illegal. Enjoy.
