Already in progress :) There's a ton of unreleased content for the next mod iterations - this update was a quick performance refresh to help someone out, it wasn't a planned release. Monsters hd are planned to be within the next few updates.
Good to hear, cheers!
Hi - With the direction the mod is now going I don't think it could be made doomsday compatible, sorry.
Thankyou for the feedback - the chainsaw sprites will be updated for the next version
Hi - I've uploaded a new version (v0.13 performance) which should give much better performance for the beautiful doom version.
Hi - Turning on Precache gl textures in gzdoom can help, but ultimately its because of the number of sprites used for the smooth animations used in beautiful doom, its a lot of hi res sprites to be loading. I'm working on some new content at the moment for a new pack, but I'll see about backporting an update out for this one which might help with performance in the meantime. Check back in a few days for an update.
Hi - there are instructions in the summary above on how to use it, if you have any problems let me know
Hi - yes, its still being developed
Hi, thankyou! It's not compatible with brutal doom yet - I'm currently porting it over though.
Hi, the files should already be in the pk3 structure usable by gzdoom and zandronum - you should be able to load the zip file directly using -file *path to zip file* at the command line(for gzdoom), or you can rename the extension from .zip to .pk3 and it should work the same.
I could port the work I've already done to brutal doom, sure. The additional weapons would need redrawing - I'll take a look into it.
Hi, thanks! I'd say its taken around 200hrs work so far, over the past 4 months, but theres still a fair bit to do on these in terms of polishing and it's still being worked on. I haven't done any real work on the monsters - I've looked at a few and done some basic work, but thats an even larger job and would take much longer to complete so they're not being looked at just yet.
add -file "path to mod" the command line, ie gzdoom -iwad c:\doom\doom.wad -file c:\doom\HRRP_Beautifuldoom.zip
