Started working on Birthstar:Frontline (which morphed into Talon-5 by the looks of things) but before then I moved on to doing textures for Black Mesa:Source. Now a prop modeller and skinner for Black Mesa.
Thanks, Mischa, I will definitely consider a future release for PC/Mac.
Open up Appworld on your Playbook and search for "Chromasphere".
Also available on Android, search for "Chromasphere" or click the official page link.
Thanks for looking. :)
Version 1.0.2910 is out now!
I had several people who weren't happy with holding the phone flat to control the ball. I was reluctant to change it at first but then I tried a new approach and it worked great.
What's in this version:
1. Calibration of tilt control added, no more holding your phone flat to play! Go to options screen to set it how you want.
2. Added messages display at top of menu.
3. Made colours on Chromasphere textures more visible.
4. Added instant colour buttons (not functional yet)
Mine too. Looks like an interesting new take on Laser Squad. Looking forward to release.
Beautiful, beautiful environment and character designs! Looking forward to playing this one!
Just saw this in the Nov 08 issue of EDGE. Love the concept art and toon shader look. Very Slick. Will keep an eye on this one. Great stuff!
The awards listed further up still catergorize mods by genre. Genres shouldn't be used to define awards (anywhere). It reduces the opportunities for people to break from convention. In fact, it'll have people deliberately pitching their mods towards a particular genre which will take away from the main strengths of the mod scene.
The awards could be as follows:
Best overall released mod
Best overall unreleased mod
Best lead character design
Best supporting character designs
Best character animations
Best environmental design
Best environment art
Best original weapons design
Best visual effects
(others could easily be added)
Best original gameplay concept
Best use of narative
Best audio design
Best use of physics
Best use of AI
Best use of scripting
Best use of an NPC
Best use of (engine/game) technology
Every one of these awards could have two prizes. One for released mods and one for unreleased.
This makes the awards broken down around the different developer disciplines - perhaps even giving individual artists, musicians, programmers, etc. exposure.
Tetris isn't "oldskool" - more people still play Tetris than any of the other games listed.
An Oldskool PC game would be a game released before videocards became popular and affordable. Like the Secret of Monkey Island.
