So, error in trigger number 94 has been fixed and critical bug with start as faction's ruler has been fixed. 1) As you said, game has light crossbow, which can be used on horseback. But, it was designed that 'Konny Kusznik' does not have horse in battle, he travels over map using a horse, but fights without it. And it was designed long time ago.
2) Yes, game crashes after starts fight with probability of ~0.3. I do not know how to fix it. But I have a idea: it happens because game can not load all content, because game is x86 process and can not use a lot memory. Maybe, it will not happen on x64 version of game, which is available under Linux and Mac OS as beta feature in the steam.

It is outdated but there aren't any another. Each file of module system has small documentation at begin.

1) Polish 'Konny Kusznik' does not have horse. It is not a bug, it is a feature. He travels over map using a horse, but fights without it.

4) Some armors (lamellar) need ...28 strength . Thats nearly impossible to wear them. It's so conceived. Player can develop character into warrior (increasing strength, agility and other battle skills), or into commander (increasing some skills for party and its warriors). Players-warriors can wear good expensive armor and easily kill enemies. Players-commanders can not wear very good expensive armor, but his numerous warriors... can easily beat enemies. So it is done for playstyle.
