Tank top inspired by GDI?

Tried to do a tank top... haven't been modelling in a long time (and I won't) but Mass Effect inspired me for a while there and I thought I'd try to make a GDI Tank's cupola. Here's what came out. First version is a bit lighter, the second one a "heavy" type.
So, don't care about C&C on the modelling, but I'd like to know:
According to you, DOES THIS HAVE A GDI FEEL?

Yeah I think so! It certainly got it's similarities with the titan. Put it on the hover mrls body and you'll get a hovertank.
Yeah, kind of... but I could still tweak it.
According to your opinion, what makes the GDI design what it is?
I can't really pinpoint it (nor did I think about it), but the boxyness makes a big part of it. Also the "heavy mechanics" feel is there too.
