needs more beeps
I've been following this for a while now and it just keeps getting better and better, I can't wait to play this :)
naw it looks more like the shuttle from Avatar :) which is a good thing haha, but it landing by a brick wall? and bricks on mars?! surely not
some of the scratches on the bottom of the reciever are a bit derp, a bit too much and out of place?
yeah its a bummer, I made the AUG, ots-02 and the ks-23 before it was released though ;)
why so much detail on the cylinders (barrel and thing beneath) when you'll never see it? you could optimize that a lot :)
the left, looks more deep-sea and would work on more backgrounds, the right one reminds me of ice too much for some reason...
I'm rather intrigued by all this, add me on steam or something my i.d's 0lxl0
if you're focusing on code and getting it to work first is there a coder/scripter etc.? The modelling could use a little work, but its good whilst you're getting up and running, I've thought of a mod like this for a while, glad to see someones actually making it come to life, hope all goes well for you :)
well if the main character is a professional then it makes sense surely? :)
they're the same, I just varied to try and find which looked the best I didn't think it would go on the media release O.o oh well :3
scope is way too small in comparison with the thickness of the rifle, either that or the scope is too low down, think of how practical it will be
quit whining, I'm gonna work on them but I've been at school :3
looks nice with some colour applied, too early to judge though really, as I'm guessing its just bases with AO/Normals right now, especially the jacket?
on the left it looks large but on the right it looks fine so I'm guessing it's just not a flattering shot of the guy ;) very nice bake/low poly, really compliments the great sculpt on this guy. Jiggle bones on the bag possibly?
I do like it, but it needs more scratching instead of just black grunge everywhere, lessen the grunge, its too randomly placed. And use Racer445's scratch brushes on edges, google 'Photoshop scratch brushes' too and Lightly go over metal areas, make it subtle, textures with too much going on don't look so nice
wow teh_snake is working like a bitch on this, hope it doesn't die for his sake haha ;)
I wasn't aware that source supported animation camera movement?
less work it would seem, most shooting mods are so complex that they often get lost or discontinued, so its nice having mods like this which can potentially be released relatively quickly
you'd probably only see spray-painted streaks of yellow and brown for desert camo on weapons, not proper camouflage though
no because no one around this area would bother having a golden weapon, especially not looters or russian soldiers, nor would anyone who actually had one use it in combat tbh
Dec's Plaza mod is way different to ours, we don't act aggressively or superior to people commenting, it is a modding community after all :P
there's actually the same amount of scratches, but in marmoset you can edit the light position, which is what you're seeing between the two sides.
that's probably just due to the FOV in marmoset, it looks different in Source :)
I thought that spikes were indeed for veterans, indicating their presence in the pre-horus era or something along those lines, before the bulk of the now chaos space marines became traitors. However while this is fine having spikes, its the only thing setting the marine out as a veteran, where as if you look at the veteran models they have loin cloths and a lot of purity seals to indicate their age and experience. Just something for you to think about, great models so far :)
folds on the back of the legs from the knee downwards look rushed and lumpy, I know ezjamin can do better than that :O
Maya? XSI is surely the official, given the 'XSI mod tool' which is pretty much completely compatible to the source engine, also valve used Modo to create the characters for TF2
