Aren't modern snipers working as pairs? Other giving the details like direction of wind, distance etc. and the other one is shooting? I think sniper squads that consist two would be a really cool addition. Well I'm just wishing here ;)

I'm pretty sure I've seen proper recreated black forest.. :O
The lights loog abit off in day light, would be good in dark but maybe reduce the "glow" and just keep the light on the front light bulbs?
It is stated by Tolkien that hobbits rarely use any weapons but if they absolutely have to, its bows.
I tried to get this working with patch launcher cos I wouldn't want to hassle with copying the game due to limited hard disk space every time I wanna play original TAD. My TAD patch launcher version is 0,17 any idea if I can get it working?
Can I play this with the full steam version?
Bloody awesome work. Even TA didin't change the catapults at all! Steam tanks next?
Omg you just keep surprising me with these models!
Do you include multiplayer with the expansion mods like treaty?
I've thought same way, only MTW2 cos I'm more familiar with it.
Are the parts of Finland in the map and who will they be controlled by? Rebels?
Could you add a readme file with the install instructions, please and maybe paste them here too?
Yeah I would like a finnish army too, after all it was major help in north for Germans. I think finnish units should be very effective, but small perhaps 3-4 man, they should have wooden bunkers and the maps should be pretty woody. The army on the other hand could be constructed from the russian and german weapons and tanks. For example, the most used finnish heavy tank was T-34, light tank would be T-26, Suomi SMG could be easily modelled from the russian equivalent which was practically copied from the Suomi KP(Smg), and Mosin Nagant was commonly used rifle. Althought this would add so much work, and will not be considered in the close future builds, I would appreciate if you'd think about it. There would be plenty of finn's glad to help, I'm 100% sure of that.
I support your decision, what is too hard is too hard, Orks are neater anyways. Just don't let these "I was waitin' for kewll spaz mariinz" kids get to you.
Will the units be handled as single units, or as whole squadrons or battalions kinda like in Total Wars?
Ah looks like I stumbled on something interesting, the model viewer :P Theres lot of good stuff /npcs/grandar could be used as some kind of uruk/ork, perhaps uruk Berserker, Dark Rogue could be Názgul. And don't know about the armors, can you use them one the charcters?
I think waves are pretty neat. And I'll stop bombarding you with messages now.
Actually if you can replace Chaplain's weapon with a sword/spear he could be core rohhirim defender. And maybe change texture color to green and add some horses to the shield.
Yup I'm glad you like 'em. Just ask me if you need any help with the lore stuff/ideas. Now that I'm here I could think something about beasts, they really don't remind Uruks, but I think shape shifter could do as some kind of Goblin, of course they don't have to be movie like or anything. Oh and Shaman is pretty orcish, that one should do, especially if you can give 'em some kind of weapons instead the staff, because magic really isin't major part in Lotr, there are just few persons on Middle-Earth who can do that. Ahh and now that I think it Malphas could be used as Balrog in the end as final climax. And in the books ents come kill rest of the uruks and orcs, perhaps you could make Conjurer models biggger? Predadors are so-so as uruks. Ah and Behemots could be used as Cave trolls. Sorry just ideas pouring to my head, its really fun to think about them :P
Well if you want some kind of "non gunpower" country, one choice would be rebelling finns and swedes, atleast one happened in 1500, and wouldn't wonder if the same would have happened few centuries later. Another choice Karelia, and the finnish related tribes there. Anyways Finn's shouldn't have very strong infantry but strong cavarly with two pistols and sword, I'm referring to hakkapeliittas. It doesen't need to be "damn realistic" but I always like to keep it on the track with what could have happened instead making stuff out of nowhere. Don't take any offense these are just suggestions.
I do understand if you want keep the mod as relaxed and playing/training around with modding and making map/mod inspired by helms deep. But I agree with Feillyne, just got some suggestions. Marksman goes as elf bowman if you want to go with the movie style, just remove the bomb and Builder has nice dwarf look so you could go with it as Gimli or just a dwarf warrior, maybe get axe from somewhere if you can? Hammer is okay though. Say there came some dwarfs before the siege to see the caves Gimli was so excited of, thats more reasonable than the elfs in the movie. I wouldnt go with the guns but ofc. if you don't want to make it too complicated thats ok. Now Savage would need some modeling to make a rohhirim soldier but ofc. only if you can do it or someone else willing to help you. Or just keep it as it is. Just my few cents good luck with the mod!
No I did read it, but still when youre speaking about relatively small populance of Sami spread around northern parts of Sweden and Finland what the hell does make it empire? As to why would they ever rise in arms is completly your decision, but I just expressed that it doesen't seem right for such peaceful people.
I don't believe, unless the scripters and modellers are even more skilled than any of the Total War Center modding guys that it would be possible to model the cities. Though there has been idea floating around that you could get some maps made in Battle Editor to the campaign, like the Helms Deep Ján made, but haven't heard anything since, and battle editor is so buggy and limited anyways so it would be no good.
Sami Tribes... Empire would be something big and meaningful. And they never even fought against any of the factions, barely knew how to wield a bow I believe.
