No, it's not possible to change the language. During the installation of the mod you can choose between English and Chinese, that's all.

Make sure that you install the mod in the legacy folder! Once the mod is installed, the game doesn't launch from the Steam Launcher, the game needs to be launched directly from the legacy folder, usually: "\steamapps\common\Commandos 2 Men of Courage\Legacy\comm2.exe"

I would advise anyone to first play the original games in the order of their release. Behind Enemy Lines -> Beyond the Call of Duty -> Commandos 2 (-> Commandos 3 if you like) -> then install and play this mod. If you've never played Commandos before, you might be overwhelmed by the difficulty of Destination Paris.

BTW: Commandos 1 is currently on sale on GOG.com, for $1.49 you'll get BEL+BCD: Gog.com

The missions from the first game are not a 1:1 conversion, it wasn't just a copy&paste; job ;) The file formats in Commandos 1 and 2 are completely different, so every single resource had to be converted (tool-assisted of course). All the mission scripts had to be rewritten from scratch. So the missions might look the same, but they "feel" different.

It definitely runs on Windows 10. Is it the setup that doesn't work for you or the actual game?

I'll look into this. If there's a file named 'PARGLOBAL.DAT' inside the folder 'DATA', you can delete it or replace with the original file: Pastebin.com

Install the mod in the legacy folder. Launching the game from the Steam Launcher won't work, so launch comm2.exe directly from the legacy folder.

PS: Since I already had another version of C2 installed on my PC, I had to change a registry entry at this locaton:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ WOW6432Node\Pyro\Comm2\1.0]
Change "DirIns" to "." (without the quotes)

I just purchased and downloaded Commandos 2 from Steam. The game doesn't start at all when I try to run it from the Steam client. But I got the legacy version to work when I run the .exe from "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Commandos 2 Men of Courage\Legacy" (I also installed the mod into the Legacy directory).

Did Commandos 2 run without the mod?
If you haven't already done so, you could try different compatibility settings for the .exe

Actually the code for the crossbow was already present in the original game, don't know why the developers didn't use it in any of the 20 missions. Adding abilities from BtCoD would require reverse engineering and code injection, so for now we'll stick with simple mission scripting :)
