Mega.co.nz and Yadi.sk as a Yandex mirror in case MEGA screws up. I suggest removing game_tutorials.xml if you plan on watching cutscenes and the like (though I haven't messed around with it much as I was using this HUD with CoC which obviously does not even touch vanilla's story related content like the aforementioned cutscenes/slides). I also don't know how well it'll look on your resolution but I guess it should be fine.

The guy just below your post already said that the translation is up to the community so the answer to your question would be "Whenever the CS part of the English speaking S.T.A.L.K.E.R. community decides to actually bother doing so with such a mod." Unfortunately, not that many people are into Clear Sky due to its various flaws that impacted the public's reaction to it, so good luck even finding or waiting for someone willing enough to translate it.

It's supposed to be like that, mate. You'll have to check your status using the inventory screen. There's also a radiation meter that you can enable/disable in the "ZoA Options" that appear when you start the game; I haven't used it in eons so it may be broken by now.

The NPC identifier says "Сталкеры", which means "Stalkers", so he's most likely just a free stalker using such armor. Unless it really is supposed to be a CS guy, then it's kind of interesting to see them actually use different camo in a different environment.

amk_modders.script seems to be slaving it up as well, though it was easy work. I never knew it had a bunch of those parts commented out, not like I have anything against not hearing someone called "Stalker_Zip" yell news about something on the stalker chat channel. Mega.co.nz

Step 1: Get a fresh install of Russian SoC ready (the 1.0006 repack has been recommended by people a couple few times and it works fine);

Step 2: Delete all from the install of your Russian SoC version save for gamedata.db0 - gamedata.db9;

Step 3: Copy over all of OLR 2.0's files to the install's directory;

Step 4: Run configurator.cmd and choose what you want from the options provided;

Step 5: Run the game using ONLY OLR_Launcher.exe or Stalker_OLR.cmd

They have more than vanilla by having places like Dead City (which apparently is now "Ray of Light City"), the Secret Laboratory, Swamps, Generators, Warlab and some other place(s).

wedg64, dig through Sendspace.com. It actually doesn't have the Cordon part fully translated because I've already mentioned why I stopped working on it, but there's also other stuff I've worked on a bit like scripts and some other strings. It's not organised and all hasn't been changed because early WIP status and the like, but the usual merging tools should be enough to help.

Ah, so you're still looking for people to do that. It's good to know that a translation will be worked on by the team itself, at least. Oh yeah, since you said that you're still looking for people that'll be part of the translation's team, are they going to be only from the Russian part of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. community or can we join in as well? I'm partially wondering because I've been spending some of my spare time to translate the mod and have Cordon nearly finished, along with having some other bits and pieces done, so I could provide help as well.

I don't think that it supports the English version of the game thanks to the Russian version having different files, so getting it to work with a vanilla English SoC install will be futile. You'd probably need to modify a bunch of stuff to get it to function properly. As for the translation, I am currently slowly working on it and will have Cordon dealt with by wednesday, perhaps, along with some more bits. There's also a machine translation that has been made by another user on the GSC forums that you can find here - Gsc-game.com

At least somewhat knowing FF's intended plans, he is definitely not going to bring the on-screen minimap back, same as with the rest of the HUD's elements. Pretty much the same thing with the weight limit. Anomalies also are going to remain the random variety unless FF suddenly decides to butcher AMK's scripts, but like that will happen. Just grab a detector if you can find one and use plenty of bolts. The only change that may happen when related to the whole HUD deal is a message popping up in the bottom left corner about your status when exposed to certain conditions and when changing a weapon's firing mode.

I digged around in the magazine .xml file to translate some odds and ends that were still lying around there. Well, I more or less dealt with it and got a translation up, I also added in Cordon and amk_mod.script for 2 small lines of Russian text that I translated there as well (the escape one actually contains a small change so that there's no more "Night Starr").

Double check the magazines file because I probably left some errors there because I'm not "guns enuff". Sendspace.com

Also, what the hell, slav engineering, according to the description the Gauss rifle runs on resonance cascades.

A thing to remember in the future when asking for solutions relating to crashes - post the end of the crash log. For SoC, you need to find your .log file. To quote instructions written quite some time ago: "Check your Documents/STALKER-SHOC/logs folder for the SOC crash log, other STALKER games use similar STALKER-folders under Documents. Steam users: the game uses the $app_data_root$ path on first line of fsgame.ltx in your STALKER install folder."

Then take a look at your log and post whatever is after FATAL ERROR.

So, I was playing as a soldier and got to Agroprom where I found a wounded soldier. I got the option to speak to him, but doing so crashed the game with the game complaining that he had no phrase to say, or, well, anything at all, being just the usual grunt there. I suppose it's the same with Mercs, Bandits and Monolith.

Which makes me ask - will the ability to talk to and heal the people of the faction that counted as hostile when playing as a loner be implemented by the next few patches or only when the whole freeplay thing gets the big chunk of focus in the future?
