B for both
Pretty sure the fire meteors are only available in the Armageddon mode, which specifically says it is unrealistic.
Do you still have it installed? If so the latest update removes the need for a disc. Or if you still have the key you could always torrent an ISO. Its only piracy if you don't own a key.
I can't imagine why this would be bad for teens of that age, it is a game of building and flying ships. I'd compare it to minecraft without the monsters.
P.S. a great game for that age IMHO
Desura will update to any Release version, if you want more frequent updates you have to download the Dev builds from the forums.
It wasn't, this is a complete engine rebuild from scratch...
I second that, its like Pikmen(age of empires edition) :D
UDK is an open engine, while its designed for FPS originally. Since you can edit the source code you can pretty much do whatever you want with it.
Very cool concept, its like pikmin mated with age of mythology... Definately tracking...
Are there seriously people who haven't heard of Fort Knox? And yes its a military base...
You should watch the whole video, it already has 4-way split....
You do realize it is just a Photoshop job not a model right?
Still funny of course....
Just wanted to put my +1 on the Track IR, too few games use it so mine usually just sits there unused on my monitor.
Honestly to me what I see missing is not so much the white lines but all the silver arms that should be in the slots around the bottom, as an example check the photo right after the one he linked.
what models? Its a 2d isometric game....
I've had a lot of fun for the few hours I've been playing so far, only one crash that I believe was due to my computer not the game and everything is running so smooth. Also just wanted to comment on the playerbase. This is by far my most enjoyable experience with mature and communicative players in any game so far.
Overconfidence in our technologies has been our undoing. The entities learned from the very means that were employed to stop them. They have become a plague on our galaxy that is annihilating everything in its path.
That framework must be made of a really dense material, cause that's some intense gravity to size ratio. :P
In the final? Players can already dock, assuming they are in the same group.
Just a friendly recommendation, try linking the poll within an image of the poll, that should make it harder to miss.
I will point out that with larger ships there is debris left behind, they don't completely disappear. And as FriendlyFire pointed out things will probably be tweaked before full release.
FYI xnormal works fine with x64 Photoshop as well, since thats all I use :P
As for the separate layers etc. I do usually separate things out much more and I definitely do more fine tuning than is shown, but this was meant to be a simple quick guide.
Something else I do quite often is render out high-poly bakes for some of the more unusual shapes since they are hard to get right with just a 2D plugin.
The game itself will not have singleplayer, however when we release the full version we will also release the server software so you could host a local server and play very similar to how singleplayer in freelancer is played.

The process with nvidia's tool is the same and its a good substitute, I use both but I tend to prefer xnormal's results, thus I used it in this tutorial.
Thanks :D

Very impressive, definitely tracking this one :D
There was some discussion on that subject, one of the ideas was to release a high-res model pack add-on that users with more powerful computers could install.
Just wanted to point out, I follow and can't wait to play MB III as well, it looks like you've got a great game coming :D

I'm a freelance general purpose guy, I can do textures, modeling, animation, and programming. Though I tend to focus on the first two. I do all this as a hobby for my own enjoyment. I am currently a part of the mod team for Freeworlds Tides of War, a mod for the game Freelancer, I spend most of my time working on texture updates but I've also done a bit of modeling.
