The first port of call is to tone down the graphics settings a shade as that's a common issue. We found that the anomaly scanning graphic was quite intensive so that's been toned down for the latest release. Should help that issue specifically.

It was an issue a few folks had, so they likely looked into it and made some fixes as it was reported.
That's those cheaty cheaty AI players choosing a secret research option not available to human players and getting lovely perks from it to make your game a little more challenging.
Hi Zalb. Looks like you're playing in Dev mode rather than the standard game. If you right click on the launcher's play button, there should be an option to untick dev mode and that will solve the message.
The models for DS9 and ESD were both modelled by our team members and were not ripped from any other game.

ultimately yes. We've been waiting for Sins 1.95, but there's been no news about it. I suppose I could push out a patch.
I'll look into doing so for future patches.
hahah, they're all STA3, but rather than going with a decimal version (which might have been better in some ways), we liked to have sub titles
try turning off random events for now. One of them seems to be causing an issue when it dies. We'll have it fixed for the next version I expect, but we're not likely to release another version until sins 1.95 is out.
It's the breen scout my man.
generally speaking, the Uprising version is lower impact than the TFF version as more has been removed than added that would affect performance. We've noticed that there's a noticeable performance impact if you keep the grids on. If they're on all the time, you can switch them off in the options. There is also one hard crash that's caused when a random event ship dies (specifically the little probe that's for sale from TNG)
I've got some ideas on mitigating that. I'll test it out before the next version and if it behaves I'll implement it.
Unfortunately this is designed to work with 1.84 which is only available on Steam. Both the GOG and Discord versions are old and obsolete versions now. That's something to take up with the developers as we have no control over it.
There's one known issue that we've found that relates to the Echo Papa drone causing issues when it dies. That's likely the key issue. We haven't found another common crashes at this point. Sorry that you've had an issue there. Some of the base code of sins changed with various abilities and we had to re write quite a large batch of the mod. Those few of us working for free in our spare time on the mod did do quite a lot of testing, but things naturally slip through the cracks when you have no budget and a small team. We fix things when they're reported by player or when we find them ourselves. I should note that dumpfiles can't be read by us so they don't help at all anyway. Try a match without random events on and let me know if you still have issues my man. If you can identify a common issue, or you can send us an autosave that happens prior to the issue (with the issue repeating reliably when you load it) you can send it to us and we'll run it through developer mode to try and work out the issue.
Nothing from Sto I don't think
GOD YES
When you say the same download, do you mean that you transferred the zip from one computer to the other, or you downloaded it separately for both machines?
you got the GOG version?
We've noticed that the Klingons, particularly are a bit sleepy on low diff settings.
Hobbs is correct. I'd also like to draw attention to the regular 2-3 hour matches posted on my channel and the channels of other YouTubers. The mod seems to function well and is relatively stable. Far from perfect, but not unstable. Both of the people mentioning their specs below have better computers than I do, I should note.
Also the AI seems to like faster income and large fleet sizes more. Even stock sins has been a little weird lately with the lower diffs unfortunately, not sure why.
were you on normal or lower difficulty? Seems that Sins has a habit of that at the minute.
well, I was only a little off. Not bad I'd say :D
And all the girlies say he's pretty fly for a Flexen guy
That's the second report I've had of that. I'll pop it onto the list for checking.
I think that's correct for both; Unless it was changed by other members of the team. I thought it only healed hull and as such wouldn't be of any use healing shields.
If it's been changed to help shields too, then that's likely the effect changing the effect but not the usetime to go with it.
I've noticed that. I'm not sure why that's the case, but we'll sort it out for the next release

Yes! Yes! That's right, isn't it? I knew it! I've always known it! I should've killed every last one of them! I should've turned their planet into a graveyard the likes of which the galaxy had never seen! I should have killed them all.
