My "They Hunger Again" Chapter 1 final maps are almost finished, Hold on guys. Moddb.com

The Police station along with the final 2 maps in Chapter 1 are my main job on the team. Thus, I can assure you that they are in their final detail stages. The final maps are larger than most of the other maps, and we want to make sure it looks more beautiful, bigger, detailed, fun, ect, than the original. The most time consuming part is trying to have it look and feel as much as we can like the original, yet have the beauty and details that come with a modern remake. If there is to be a second chapter we want to release the final levels with as much polish and tweaking with feedback from the community along with it. We should have more fan feedback on what they think we should do to change what we have in our current release, so that if we do release chapter 2, it will be what our fans want it to be.

I believe you may have forgotten to do the step in the install tutorial video where you right click the game in your steam library and opt into the beta.

I'm making the last 2 maps, and I would definitely say it is very close to the original, more so than the other maps, that's what actually has been the main focus, which is one of the reasons why it takes longer to finish, remaking it very closely and staying faithful takes a much, much, longer amount of time to finish than making a standard map of my own. The final maps for Chapter 1 also are bigger than the original versions, with larger open spaces, newly added areas, and it takes slightly longer to play through mine than the original.

Thank you for your constructive comments, we hope to get as much feedback as possible for further tuning and fixes of the mod before the rest of chapter 1. When the remaining maps for chapter 1 are released in the next update, it will also include fixes for a lot of the issues found by people in this version.

Try launching a map in "Source SDK Base Singleplayer" before launching they hunger, it may be missing some precache files. Also, if you haven't already seen it, there's an install guide video on our main page.

In case anyone didn't know, a section of the 2013 Left 4 Dead Official team released varying versions of all of the pre-valve/pre-release/Beta Survivor character models after the community kept asking about them for over 4.5 years, they finally did a little bit. OFFICIAL POST: L4d.com

Very Nice! Custom Props, lighting, textures, fits well with original style and is a great example of an enhanced remake!

Impressive work with keeping the originals atmosphere! These textures fit very nicely with the original style.

It hasn't stalled, We should be releasing more media soon. It's been more of a "wait to show a big update off all at once" type of thing.

This Mod was shut down by the creators of the original game series. Therefore, don't expect to see an enhanced remake/redux/mmorpg of any part of the Gothic series in your lifetime. We're sorry we couldn't legally make this happen folks, you will just have to imagine what it would have been like.

This was one of the treasures of my childhood growing up. It's really too bad the demo files are corrupt and wont play anymore, all we have are our memories. May Insects Infestation Rest in Eternal Peace, in our Hearts, and in our Minds.

Yes, more progress has been made this month than the past few months actually. The Game has been having source code fixes and additions, along with mapping progress.

yes, much, much, much more to fix, terrible buggy sniper cocking animations, no secondary fire for the shock-roach, desert eagle laser accuracy bugs, its a mess, I doubt they will fix all the corrupted and missing content. Just use your original disk, or buy one off of ebay if you want the ultimate original experience.

The steam version of Opposing Force has many bugs that the original disk version doesn't have. if you have your original Opposing Force disk, use it over the steam version.

I might work on this mod again someday, but I a lost a lot of interest, and a lot of my work on The Apartment map. What I could salvage I combined with our other developer's apartment map and it looks good, perhaps someday I can finish the "No Mercy" chapter, and release it using the new addons feature they implemented, which would solve a lot of problems we were wondering how we would fix, such as model replacements.

ahhh, but I know that. You see the ak in global operations is a chinese copy of the ak, chambered in 5.56 NATO, it is called the 84s by Norinco. Although we know that in the game it was refered to as the ak47 and said that it was chambered in 7.62, the model is that of the 84s.

no it translates literally "What eat we to mid day"
it should be "was essen wir fur mittag" or "what eat we for midday"

I think I still have a copy of the mod around here somewhere if I can release what we did so far, meh. I might even still have the source code lol.

Its barely surviving with little to no work being done on it currently.

we are re-making the glock 18c from scratch since the old model was pretty blocky, hopefully we will have a render of that and possibly an m4 v_model animation demo soon :)
