This game is so beautiful, but easy to get distracted by those elements that are trying to kill you.

agreed hogsy, Sandbox 2 was/is very robust with what you can accomplish, but requires a steep learning curve. I suspect they're trying to make a simpler user interface. I heard that the Time of Day functions are not as good as the original though with many of the original settings gone, but the image above looks like a real improvement.
It does take some courage to write your piece 'in defense of reality' considering if you even mention a topic like this others will want to try to convince you otherwise, because they have it all worked out in their own heads but I suppose until their are monumental buildings built around the notion of reality all over the world, and songs and operas singing it's praises, it will be an up hill battle. I for one respect everyone's right to believe, if that is what gives them the level of comfort required for them to function in life on a daily basis, as most people can't face the simple concept (fact) that when they die they are dead.
good question, what are these from? something you're working on or just Wallpaper images you created, perhaps as concept art, and that's it?
well important for you to acknowledge that, and equally great to like them so much as to post it for everyone's viewing pleasure, lol. cheers mate.
i think some or any screen shots would of helped you with community interaction. it's tough to judge something when people can see where you're heading. I read the script for your space game and it was pretty good. Good luck with everything.
looks great, be very cool if there were some lights floating in space before the dock as a guide... but anyway I love the fact you are actually connecting outer space with the mother ship instead of just magically appearing inside it like so many other games, that's a nice step forward. You should exploit that innovation with as many features as you can stuff into it.
if i was at the other end of that thing it would look huge too, lol
yeah it's a perspective thing, looks fine to me.
great execution, mud splatter and all
one of the great contributions to life is this song, as is the game and experience it offers. Yeah I agree it can be appreciated by even those who haven't played Portal, when people understand the underlying 'death' tone juxtaposed to this 'cheerful' chant it's totally funny.
looks well developed. might be fun to kick around in.
you made your Unity game PC only? do you have a Mac version of it?
that's what they say, lets hope. They certainly are taking the steam out of their game by releasing it late.
you logo is a phallic symbol? or didn't you notice? or did you want it this way?
would love to see a video demonstration of your engine.
look promising, don't give up, people want to see results. you should put this on your home page summary.
thanks cebius, i'll do that as soon as the sandbox comes out. have you heard anything about it's release?
hey bloodstalker, thanks for connecting. really enjoy all the work you're accomplishing, especially the art work-fantastic.
agreed, i was very impressed with the detail, layout and textures especially considering they're using Unity -browser based engine.
these are 'mood boards' (photos) not actual in-game or even concept art. Still like the clean look will be a nice balance to some of the darker interiors.
The link for Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is outdated. That link says it's only for the PS3 and that you can pre-order it (considering it looks released already). The main site is here: Sniperghostwarrior.com
wow, excellent tutorial answering a lot of questions I had in this area. thanks mate.
very impressive as are your other models. This ship would be great to explore.
I pirated a Toyota once, but then a cop pulled me over and they put me in jail for 5 years. Bummer. I told them I was just trying it out and if I liked it I was going to buy it, but for some reason they didn't understand my point of view. Bummer. I figured that while I was driving it around I could save up enough to buy it, as it would certainly help me find work, but it didn't. Bummer. The thing is, it was a brand new model and looked fantastic. How could they make something so cool and not expect me to want it now. It was their fault that I took it. Now I can't get a job with my record so I'll never be able to afford it. Bummer.
this is great, i think a lot better than 'in your face' music, this creates a beautiful white 'dark' noise which would easily enhance the mood of any game. it reminds me of the background noise of a city, but darker of course, where you really can't distinguish what you're hearing but it is always there.

Currently working on a chart to describe what features games have, and it's all inclusive, from maps, atmosphere, story, graphics capabilities, etc. to shed light on what makes a fps game a success or not. My interest here is to learn enough to initiate my own game. I've been working on a story for a few years, and building the knowledge and tools to help me make it a reality. My own knowledge is in architecture and digital model making. I got interested in gaming because of the 3d worlds and the ability to do them in real time. Lately the graphics have really taken off and that's fantastic from my pov. I'm also the Founder of the Anti Cheat Gaming Community called HackHunters for the FPS genre of gaming.
