The Mod That Failed

Goth|cKyttyn Blog

The very first mod I ever used was Teknokyo's first mod. When he published Ancestral Recall, I got excited and I was far from disappointed with the performance. For reasons beyond my control, I stopped playing for several years. when I came back to D2, naturally, I wanted to use a mod from my fav modder, Teknokyo. So, I downloaded it, ran it and everything works great. Until you go on to Act V. The error message is as follows... UNHANDLED EXCEPTION: ACCESS_VIOLATION (c0000005). As soon as I restored the old patch_d2.mpq, I could play my spearajavazon in Act V. I lose all that groovy space I had and all the little things that went along with the mod (as well as the altered mobs [appearance and increased difficulty]). I feel let down. I feel that I got cheated. Now I am forced to either play with itty bitty storage space or start a new character that I will only get to play up to Act V but not actually be able to play it. Teknokyo, I am really disappointed in you on this. Ya' let me down, man.
