You're a saint for doing this. Thank you.
You're a saint for doing this. Thank you.
I completely reinstalled the game and the mod. AF3 first, etc. The game appears to finish loading but still no dice on actually getting in. Just a generic "This program has stopped working" error.
I'm having issues with this mod, I'm crashing any time I try to start the game after selecting my difficulty. I've tried installing AF3 and replacing the gamedata folder completely, running as admin, and removing all user files and rebuilding them. Any help?
The incredibly rapid drumming can be a bit much, I'd tone it down a notch, volume wise.
I gotta say though, you're doing something most Halo based mods completely fail to accomplish: you're defining a sound for your mod. Each Halo 'arch' has its own audio style, from the first 3, to ODST, to Reach, and even Wars. Each branch has a style that fits it.
Bravo guys, I'm impressed!
Ah alright, I can respect that. I was just wondering. Best of luck to you, your mod looks great so far.
I'm sure you guys get asked this a lot but curiosity killed the ModDB user.
Have you guys considered contacting Black Mesa for use of some of their assets to help speed your project along? It'd also offer continuity with another remake mod, and that's always cool.
While your music is certainly good, I don't feel like it fits the style of game.
I'm sure I'll take some flak for this but it's just far too similar to Halo's music, I know that's the intention but I feel you should take influences from the games, but not copy them so directly.
One thing unique about Halo is that each game has its own style of music. Halo 1-3 is epic and heroic. Reach is military and somewhat dark. ODST has a sadder, more desperate feel. And Halo Wars, terrible as it was, was incredibly ambient and relaxed.
Just my two cents. Your music is good. You clearly have talent. But I think you should find a style and feel to fit the mod.
Looks like someone may have Nlips enabled?
I think you can force Ambient Occlusion, which will make an impact on how it looks, not a big one though.
Very cool stuff, can't wait for the next release.
You guys have come far from the early mod team I remember, keep up the great work!
I'm willing to bet they're both ripped directly from Freespace itself, not homemade :p
Man you guys are just powering along now, content looks great too!
Keep up the good work
Applying a photoshop filter to textures =/= cartoon mod.
Just sayin'
Holy crap.. I wasn't sure about the side by side MAC's at first but wow, that's one hell of a ship.
Great job!
Hm, ingame my Atalanta and almost every other ship is completely flat, as in it looks like normal maps aren't working.. strange.
WOW. Looks like the FS2 engine now, that's incredible! Keep up the good work :)
Well compromises must be made, the engine is old after all and not being constantly updated like the FS2 engine.
Ah that makes sense then. I still think they should just become a single team again, much more productive.
Very nice! Where have I seen that station from though? There's something familiar about it.
