Heyy, thanks so much for the feedback! I really enjoyed watching you play my mod, and it feels so good that people still download tr1p and actually play it :)

I know it's hard to beat, because that was and is the sole purpose of it. It's supposed to be a hardcore mod, according to its description.
But I'm sure you can make it. If there's only one tip I can give you: never. stop. moving.

Many people have finished it before, and maybe, if you have some free time, try to finish it in peace and patience one day.
Thank you nonetheless for the nice words and the super useful feedback, I will use it for my current (bigger) game project and try to make the best out of it. This was an experiment, and I really love its outcome. All the best, and greetings from Switzerland :)

The next project is almost entirely set up in a forest environment. I'm sure you'll like it in that case! :) Thanks for the feedback.

Thank you so much for your feedback, I really appreciate it! I'm glad you liked it nonetheless. At least the climbing and mapping :)

Yeah, I know, the difficulty was intentional. It's actually not so hard when you keep moving and always stay dynamic. But still, it had to be difficult to master and super challenging.
Many friends of mine actually managed to finish it on normal difficulty level, it's just one hell of a trip. But once they did it, they felt extremely satisfied. And that is exactly like I want my games to feel like. It looked like they were having their most well-earned beers of all times after the credits rolled ;D
Anyway, thank you for the nice comment. I can't believe people still play this mod after 4 years, it really makes me happy. I hope this will be the case for my next upcoming projects (and don't worry, the sick difficulty level was just an experiment for tr1p, the other projects are way more serious).

Cheers

Hey why don't you greenlight your mod and put it on steam? That would be awesome :>

Yes, you have to be tactical. This mod is meant to be a hardcore challange. But here's protip: never stop moving! Never!

You need Steam installed on your PC and a legally acquired copy of Half-Life 2: Episode Two.

If you don't have that folder you can create it. If you have steam installed you definitively have a steam folder, so you should be able to create the according folders in manually in case they aren't already there :)

Thank you SO much for your review and your nice words :'D
It means really really much to me... And I am happy that I succeeded in transmitting the message I was originally trying to transmit with tr1p... Many people gave my mod bad votes only because they either rage-quit it, didn't even read my description and thus thought it was badly balanced, or simply hated me for breaking the rules. But your review makes me feel really good, that there are still some old-school game lovers around :')
Best of luck with your awesome mod reviewing channel, I subscribed and already love it. Greetings,

-Raphael

Thanks :) You're supposed to search for a way out. It's hidden. If you reeeaaally can't find your way out PM me and I'll give you a hint ;) You'll probably find it within 4 or 5 minutes, don't give up...

Yes, you nailed it. I have no doubts that videogame developers back in those days didn't only wish to have better graphics, they really did invest a lot of work in graphics. But it wasn't their main priority, you see.
I edited that part of the description; I have to admit that I'm not very good at expressing myself (especially these kind of thoughts) in English :)

Thank you very much for your review! I always appreciate that, so that I can do even better in my next project. I'm glad you liked it and...Yes, indeed I kind of put all of my efforts in the difficulty level and the "old school hardcoreness" ;) I will pay more attention to detail in my next project though :)

I think this is due to the fact that you either A) don't have Half-Life 2: Episode Two installed or B) you have it but didn't run it once. Comment again if it still doesn't work :)

First of all, your folder inside steam/steamapps should be named sourcemods, not Source Mods :)
And last but not least(?) I think this is due to steam (as you said), since it happens with other mods too... Do you have a desktop computer on which you could try running the mod? In case you don't, try backing up your mods into another folder outside of steam, deleting the sourcemods folder and creating one manually and putting the mods back in again. The folders of the mods (like the folder tr1p for my mod) have to be put directly into the steamapps/sourcemods folder (so that you'd have a path like for example: programmes/steam/steamapps/sourcemods/tr1p).

I really hope I could help :) Just contact me again if it doesn't work, I'll find a way to help you out somehow.

what about the save button F6? And finding the way where you have to go is also part of the challenge... I don't know what to say... I kinda don't feel bad about what I did in map 2 :) there are many people who told me it was nice and challenging (not impossible). Thank you for your feedback, and your blog is awesome man!
