Thanks for the feedback :)
Yeah, my next project is a totally different genre, don't worry!
6.5/10 is fair I guess, from your point of view.
I'm just amazed that this project still receives attention and activity, even 11 years later. The Half-Life community is just fantastic and I keep getting reminded of it.

I'm so sorry for the insane delay: I did not get any email notification about your comment. Do you mean the intro scene? :)

Yes, it is truly interesting what social media and a YouTube presence can do with these things, especially after the hard bashing I got initially, people apparently still had the desire to kinda find out themselves and try it out :)

And that's almost ten years after I released it! It's extremely surprising, almost absurd to me that this mod still has traffic, and I'm infinitely grateful for everyone who played it and left some feedback here. Heartwarming!

All the best, and have a wonderful new year! :)

Thank you so much for your words!

I did note everything down over the years, and even though this was explicitly meant as that old-school experience, I don't think I will experiment any further with the infinite spawning, so no worries there ;)

Take care, and have a fantastic new year!

Thank you so much for your feedback, it means a lot to me! Ten years ago, I put a lot of effort, love and passion into this mod :)

It's been a long time, but I am in fact developing something again after a decade of software development. I'm back in game development at last :D

Keep an eye out on:

Hey there,

First of all: no idea how you came up with that conspiracy theory. I promise I did NOT disable the console :|

Maybe that's some other bug and/or phenomenon that came with an update from Valve, because I don't think I ever knew how to disable it. If anyone of you readers in this comment section knows what this could be, please inform me. I assure everyone this was not intentional!

Concerning your advice: thanks! No worries, LOL. I feel like I fully explored the soul-wrecking sick-**** difficulty shooter game genre with this creation. I'm looking into other projects for the future :)

Now that last paragraph, why the **** do you have to be so rude? I get it, you had a bad experience.

I love it!

Hi Striker,

Thank you so much for the feedback; it's extremely valuable!

Sorry for the late reply, I didn't receive a notification about the comment.

You are right, and to be honest I absolutely did not think about those things back in 2012. I wrote down everything. Hopefully you'll enjoy my next creation more :)

Cheers, and thanks again for the input!

Heyy, thanks so much for the feedback! I really enjoyed watching you play my mod, and it feels so good that people still download tr1p and actually play it :)

I know it's hard to beat, because that was and is the sole purpose of it. It's supposed to be a hardcore mod, according to its description.
But I'm sure you can make it. If there's only one tip I can give you: never. stop. moving.

Many people have finished it before, and maybe, if you have some free time, try to finish it in peace and patience one day.
Thank you nonetheless for the nice words and the super useful feedback, I will use it for my current (bigger) game project and try to make the best out of it. This was an experiment, and I really love its outcome. All the best, and greetings from Switzerland :)

The next project is almost entirely set up in a forest environment. I'm sure you'll like it in that case! :) Thanks for the feedback.

Thank you so much for your feedback, I really appreciate it! I'm glad you liked it nonetheless. At least the climbing and mapping :)

Yeah, I know, the difficulty was intentional. It's actually not so hard when you keep moving and always stay dynamic. But still, it had to be difficult to master and super challenging.
Many friends of mine actually managed to finish it on normal difficulty level, it's just one hell of a trip. But once they did it, they felt extremely satisfied. And that is exactly like I want my games to feel like. It looked like they were having their most well-earned beers of all times after the credits rolled ;D
Anyway, thank you for the nice comment. I can't believe people still play this mod after 4 years, it really makes me happy. I hope this will be the case for my next upcoming projects (and don't worry, the sick difficulty level was just an experiment for tr1p, the other projects are way more serious).

Cheers

Hey why don't you greenlight your mod and put it on steam? That would be awesome :>

Yes, you have to be tactical. This mod is meant to be a hardcore challange. But here's protip: never stop moving! Never!

You need Steam installed on your PC and a legally acquired copy of Half-Life 2: Episode Two.

If you don't have that folder you can create it. If you have steam installed you definitively have a steam folder, so you should be able to create the according folders in manually in case they aren't already there :)

Thank you SO much for your review and your nice words :'D
It means really really much to me... And I am happy that I succeeded in transmitting the message I was originally trying to transmit with tr1p... Many people gave my mod bad votes only because they either rage-quit it, didn't even read my description and thus thought it was badly balanced, or simply hated me for breaking the rules. But your review makes me feel really good, that there are still some old-school game lovers around :')
Best of luck with your awesome mod reviewing channel, I subscribed and already love it. Greetings,

-Raphael
