My nephew introduced me to The Battle of Middle Earth II world builder. Thanks, Wes! I don't draw or paint, so this is my artistic outlet.

Yes, while we've tried to remain true as possible with regard to accuracy for the time-period, some artistic license was taken in order to provide a broader artistic basis for the maps.

Thank you for keeping The Peloponnesian War in your gameplay schedule. And be sure to watch for further updates.

A fanciful representation of the Agora in Corinth. View is looking toward the entrance to the temple of Octavia.

A very fanciful representation of one of the temples in Corinth. This is only intended to be a representation and not exactly true to what it looked like in the 4th century BC.

A second view of a coastline from the TPW mod Corinth map. Some changes have subsequently been made after I took this screenshot. The pathway has been extended across the hill and I think I moved or added some tree props, but I can't remember exactly.

One of two fountains found on the Corinth map.
This is a fanciful representation of the Peirene fountain.

Some of the terrain textures haven't been blended yet when I took this screenshot.

There has been some internal discussion about a campaign but it's not a current priority. Once we have more mod-specific maps included we'll be in a much better position to work on a campaign.
You are correct in that a TPW campaign would follow the historical sequence as closely as possible.

Thanks for keeping The Peloponnesian Wars mod in your gaming schedule! If you get bored, explore Corinth and check out the fountains.

Voting for "Mod of the Year" is closed for 2011.
We do appreciate your intent to vote positively for The Peloponnesian Wars mod, however.

Keep us in mind for 2012's voting schedule.

For sure the next version will include Athens.
At this time the mod team does not have plans to include a Roman or Persian faction.
However, and I can't speak for the entire team here, if the popularity of the mod were to increase greatly, it may motivate the mod team to introduce other faction entities as either 'creep-like' or 'allies' generated through capturable buildings.
Don't count on it, though.

2012 should prove to be a good year for the Peloponnesian Wars Mod.
Athens will show its hand as well as some new maps upon which to wage war.

Unless things change at a later date, which I doubt, the closest you'll find anything concerning Rome, would be a Syracuse map for gameplay involving the Sicilian Expedition of 415 to 413 BC.
Also, if you pay close attention within the city of Corinth, you may find indications of configured structures that may hint at Roman influence from later time periods. This wasn't done specifically, but more as a result of difficulty in finding exacting depictions of strictly Greek city configurations from the Peloponnesian War time period. We had to make some concessions and it should only be apparent to a trained eye.

Hope that helps to assuage your desires for something Roman. ;)

No, pretty much everything that is shown in the "Images" section (as of this writing) is currently in the .300 Alpha version. Notable things NOT in this version, but shown in the "Images" section, are the Pankration arena, Parthenon, and General Lysander, but they will likely be available in subsequently released versions.

Some of the early images are of structures or buildings that have undergone revision or reconfiguration. Because of that it may seem as though not everything shown is currently available in the release.
Hope that answers your concern(s), and we look forward to you keeping The Peloponnesian Wars mod in your gaming schedule.

Athens is in the works. For this .300 Alpha, only Sparta is released publicly. An early version of an Athenian temple is viewable here: Moddb.com
As to a campaign, I won't say yes or no...a lot of things need addressed prior to establishing such an increased work load. ;)
Stay tuned!

More maps are in production, don't worry. I wouldn't want to spoil the surprises, so I won't post a list.
