I've just figured out what's going on with my performance issues, I dont know how to describe it but it's like my game slowly dies as i play it. like when i first start it, it'll be 100 fps, then as time goes on it'll just go down and down till it's around 20 and i have to restart again. Does anyone know what this means?

I was just in the iron forest anomaly (having not left zaton yet) and the door to the testing workshop underground was just fully open, should I just avoid it untill i get the quest or is this a big bad glitch, Thankyou :)

Incase anyone has the same problem as me i'll just sorta put my fix here. If i looked one direction it'd be like 30 fps and then another it'd go to 100 fps, and would stay like that depending on which side of the map i am looking at no matter where I was. installing AN4 worked for me to gain 20fps on both fronts (at the cost of some texture quality loss). Using just misery though, I used rivatools to cap my fps at 60 and it has stayed consistent around that point since, weird.. Big thanks to Jasper34 for helping me fix this issue :))

Yeah i’ll try that now, i’m notnsure Jasper saw my question but you have any idea about what he was saying in regards to not using steam to launch, running straight off xray.exe hauls through steam and i cannot seem to get it running independently

Weird how you can gain 150+ fps in 1080p and when i go to the same location it's no more than 50 with a very similar setup. I don't believe i've done anything wrongly and I have done as said on the guide and gotten nowhere in terms of an increase in FPS.

Actually, i am running off steam. I deleted the desktop icon and run off COP via steam, it DOES ask for xray to run as admin though. is this a thing :O

Prntscr.com Here it was 40 fps (+-5) constant no matter where i looked. This is with high priority and 1-7 AND 5 objects as you said, this is generally what it is like for me in daytime. May i add that other games are completely fine, GTA 5 in 4K with the redux mod was great at 90fps+ constant. very confusing indeed :(

I am massively confused, I have a perfectly fine GTX 1080 OC and my i7 7700 at 4.6 ghz, the cpu afinity fix didn't really do anything as it can range from 100% usage to like less than 10%, not changing the fps, and at night i can get like 70 - 80 but in daytime i can drop as low as like 15 when facing certain directions. I have my alife at 400 and objects at 30. Any tips at all i'm so confused :( (game is fully maxed including dx11 full dynamic, changing these sliders / dynamic lighting didnt really change anything drastiacally :/)

Again with the questions (i'm so sorry). Even if I run a dynamic superresolution on the game at 4K, i get 40-70 which is what I get normally at 1080, I've found (and as im sure you know) that the game only likes to use one of my cores at 100%, can I change this AT ALL to use more than one single core, it's a cripping bottleneck.

Thankyou! I believe we have very similar rigs you and I Jasper, but I don't use my 4K for this, on full settings and 400 alife, would you think to see 60fps clean in any area with your own pc?

How do i change the Alife switch_distance and objects_per_update values, on the alife.itx under switch distance, i have like loads of values like 550 600 700 all separated by a ';', i don't see any fps change when i edit the value after the = from like 150 to 900 :( what am i doing wrongly?

I might just play it without and then do another run with the new (inevitable) 2.2.1 update and then TAZ installed, almost like having two games to play with! :D

Just A random question, I started as a merc and some stalker wanted A gun or another wanted to kill someone. After about 2 ingame hours (only a few minutes) the missions had failed, I imagine that it was because of them dying miles away from me or somerhing but would i be missing out at all? on missions like them as well
