Hi, I'm experiencing the following problem. First of all when i start a single player game and i pick a random civ, the entire description is wrong (this includes the unique buildings and units) For example i pick genghis khan and when the game starts it says genghis khan of the egyptian nation and so on. So it seems that the mod is somewhat unbalanced on my computer. Worth noting that the first time i ever started the game it said that this program will be running on a lower graphical quality and this may cause the program to crash. When it comes to the multiplayer aspect i can join the lobby, but when the game starts, the game crashes and i'm back on my desktop.
I have already looked at the compatibility options but when i selected any other mode besides windows 7, the little loading screen in the beginning does not fill up and it doesn't go away (right in the middle of the screen) when i am at the main menu of the game.
This is the current situation, hopefully you have some useful tips :).

- It seems to me you do not know the option 'Unrestricted leaders' which comes with Beyond the Sword (the normal game). In the MOD this option is always activated by default. Simply uncheck the option if you want to be sure Genghis is always Mongol.
- Just to be sure : you are trying to play with other people that have the same MOD of course right ? IF not you should have *MOD* next to your name showing you don't have the same version of the game.
- Presuming you all have the same version, please can you check my post below and the troubleshooting section here ?https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/beyond-the-play-community-mod.648750/ If that is not your issues, and there is something else, please can you detail more or even better send a screenshot ?

I figured out whats wrong it does have to do with the xml loading. Because when i started a singleplayer game my civic screen was all over the place, just like the screenshot showed. But i still don't really understand the solution. Can you explain in detail? Much obliged.
Ah great ! At least there is only one known issue and the amazing people at Civfanatics helped me to fix it automatically for next version...
For now you need to locate your "CivilizationIV.ini" file which should be under "C:\Users\user\Documents\My Games\Beyond the Sword". There you scroll down until you find the 2 lines talking about "caching", and you transform the values 0 into values 1.
The block should read like this after :
; Disable caching of file system (may slow initialization)
DisableFileCaching = 1
; Disable caching of xml and file system (may slow initialization)
DisableCaching = 1

There is a bug in the game, when we try multiplayer and we start the game. everybody starts to crash and drop to windows.

I’d like to know the situation in which you had the crash.
In multiplayer you can play only with people who have the MOD too.
We use the game every Monday and we do not encounter any crashes.
I’d like to know if the crash happened a liver or every time.

We all downloaded your standalone (game) MOD.
Launching the game will do fine, but when when we start the game. He just drops down to windows without any warning.
Hello guest, cool very good news to hear you're using MOD !
I only ever heard of 1 issues with the MOD it's related to XML loading. And it does make the game crash turn 1 if that's the case.

Can you try that and let me know ?
Try to isolate 1 player at a time and you'll find who has an issue !
