Ok, sorry to bother u guys again, but now am asking a little more lol, i fixed my rotr thanks to 'jarmen' (renamed rotr files to big instead of gib, and ran it from the geneals.exe file) it worked. However, the AIs seem to only build the barracks, supply center, and war factory brutal....which is quite weird, i mean...on other pcs 'wer it originally worked without the gib change to big' it would run extremely harder for the AIs, i mean i know am thankful for the game working, but its pointless playing against pointless souls lol. I tried all three difficulties, it builds those 3-5 buildings on brutal ...and downwards until easy.
And by brutal, i point out that its about the difficulties.
I hope someone can fix this

relay my thanks to your mom and dad for bringing such a legend to life, this problem was with me since 2010...u fixed it just now! FUCKEN HELL YEA I LOVE YOU!

P.s. if another pc has the same copy but runs it from rotr.exe , will this affect lan play? aka missmatch?

it didnt work, i renamed all the gib filesto big...i know..only the extentions, it took a bit longer for the black screens to pop up right, left and up...no result.
btw everytime i launch the game the big files i edited come back to gib...

Okay, I have this problem, I hope someone wastes some time to tell me how to fix it. My zero hour game works just fine, in all cases it works. however, when I try runing rotr1.8 it doesnt work, I tried the compatibility modes...all of them. I tried to troubleshoot compat. it wont work, updated my graphics (****** *** graphics card, intel 3000) card, no result . Every time I launch the game, it shows the launcher (installfinal.jpg) then pops a black screen up right, then down left then up left and poof, back to desktop. tried all the options, no results either. Am running windows 7 ultimate, i3 processor and intel3000 graphics, and this is a direct play copy with the registry (yes). this is the only game I have that doesn't work. I BEG a solution,,, not being able to get to play this awesome mod is a tragedy *inserts gladiator music*
oh and i tried to run the reg files...in every way possible. (if someone suggests to double check reg, let me know what exactly u want me to do)

So no actuall plans of another mod just upgrading generals zero hour into generals 2? am not really sayin IN rotr... i mean a future mod...

i was actually thinking of a really considerable idea to swr (humbly :S)
How about swr tries to actually observe the new Generals (the F2P) and would actually try to copy or just create units and powers based on the new version,,, factions and units etc... and then u would just create a mod for Zero Hour called a different name... i mean i know it uses a frost bite engine, there is no need to COPY the same units,, like just very similar units... instead of making more mods for zero hour ... in which players are waiting for something new ... like better graphics or detail i mean totally new ... and deffintly making an expansion mod for ZH featuring all generals 2 Properties would actually be a great success and of high popularity ...

i agree but u might just like add a secondary name while choosing the general like for ex. the Description... a perfect way to make alexandr a second name is by caling him Alex Alexandr or Alexis,,,but it just is a small problem doesnt need alot of attention :)
