Alrighty guys after six hours I figured it out.
Step 1 do everything this guy said.
Step 2 realize that it isn't going to work no matter how many ways and how many tries you do it.
Step 3 delete everything this mod has
step 4. Download the civil war mod.
step 5 go ahead and play that until either a visual guide comes out or until 6.0 comes out.

step 6. When 6.0 comes out have an absolute blast

The instructions didn't help. I'm doing this exactly as follows.
Download base
extract
dropping 5.1 over data
download update
extract drop over data
run launcher
watch insta crash
come here
die

Wtf happened to the colored divisions? I was gonna use 54th massechusets for fort wagner (for obvious reasons) and it wasn't there :(

I just want to say thank you guys for making this as historically accurate as possible. As much as I love total war Warhammer ive noticed that since it came out both the devs and players don't really care about history. Even three kingdoms is only semi history and they choose to go with the fantasy rout more than anything, which defeats why I like these games in the first place.

i found out what was up. you don't need to make a separate data thing, just put it on a line in the normal scripts. ;)

No, this does not work. I am using windows 10. I literally copy pasted all the files into all the folders in the game and put mod "32_factions_in_custom_battles.pack";
15 different ways in different columns after literally 4 hours of trying to get it to work. I remember I did once before but I know last time I didn't use these instructions. please post a VIDEO on how to get it to work.

can u make a video on how to do the battles? I recently re downloaded and forgot how to make it work.
