Could you please elaborate.
I can assure you that you won't get any game bans. There simply aren't any forbidden files.
Could you provide me with some screenshots? You may have missing files, otherwise it wouldn't make any problems like that.
Could you please attach some screenshots somewhere, like imgur and tell me the game's version (Steam/non-Steam), cause I really can't jump in any conclusions/solutions at this point. Thank you for the comment.
You need to download and install the Steam version (preferably) of Counter-Strike: Source first, since it's only a mod and not a full-release game. Releasing the game and the mod in one file would make the download file extremely large and hard to download for people with bad internet connection.
I had it in mind actually. Maybe somewhere in the near future :)
Minimum:
CPU: 1.7 GHz
RAM: 512 MB
GPU: 64 MB DirectX 8.1 level Graphics Card
OS: Windows XP
Free disk space: ~3 GB
Recommended (For a 60 FPS experience):
CPU: Pentium 4 processor (3.0 GHz, or better)
RAM: 1-2 GB
GPU: 128 MB DirectX 9 level Graphics Card
OS: Windows 7/10
Free disk space: 3.5 GB
Since this is a mod, yes, you need Counter-Strike: Source installed on your drive.
I get your point. But while everything is based on simplicity, I'm trying to satisfy that part of the community that's fed up with vanilla stuff; A few tweaks regarding colors and models aren't such a big deal, hell, it might even make people more interested in the project, who knows. I respect your opinion of course.
Hi! The .dll files are used to enhance the graphics in general; shaders. You shouldn't be concerned about being banned, if that's why you're asking. As for the playermodels, the T's are completely in black, I guess it's a distinctive enough color for the "bad guys" in this story. Just like the CT's in their full blue-ish suits. I mean, I'm trying to simplify things by lowering the amount of colors the playermodels have. Instead of multiple colors, when you're in-game, you're gonna be either searching for guys with dark clothes (if you're a CT) or guys with blue-ish clothes (if you're a T). At least, that's what I'm trying to achieve.
It's a bit limited, but yes. It would've been easier if there was some kind of a torrent support.
If you wish to delete the mod, simply delete the "my_custom_stuff" folder and you're done. About the playermodels - their dark clothes distinguish them enough from the environment/CTs, if you think they're too dark, you can always boost up your screen brightness a bit. I might release a patch in a few days, regarding their clothes.
Hello, yes, the mod works on online servers, if that's what you're asking. The only known issues for now are listed with the installation instructions.
This mod supports every game mode my friend, both offline and online. I added 2 deathmatch maps for now, but we may see more in future updates. Thank you!
This is bizarre. I didn't add any .cfg files to mess with your game in any way, literally. Can you tell me where did you put the files and did you verify the game files from Steam?
Hello there. Download the file, extract it, and put the folder in Counter-Strike Source/cstrike/custom. After you do this, open Steam, right-click on Counter-Strike: Source and select "Properties". Click on "Local Files" and select "Verify integrity of game files" (the last button). Wait for it, and you're ready to launch it.
As you are reading this, I am probably working on a new update, so if you have any feedback, advice or criticism, post it as a reply here, so I can see it. Thank you!
Thank you again. Unfortunately my PC is not good enough to record footage, so that kinda damages my work, but I'll see what I can do :)
Actually, the mic icon is updated with an HD version when you see it from a third-person perspective; when someone else is talking. But thank you for your feedback, I'll add this in the upcoming update.
I'm planning on adding a few languages in the next update, so I got you covered.
Sounds great, this is actually my first mod ever and I'm still learning new stuff. As for the mod, I'd like to keep things simple, that's my main goal. Also, large # GB files make people give up on downloading it. But I'll see what I can do with your advice, thank you very much.
Got it! An updated version is coming soon.
Please make a Opposing force version. That would be awesome!
