I'm lead developer for the Source mod Debauchery. Basically, I'm responsible for the game design, the weapon models, textures, and animations, the majority of the map props, the sound, and the music.

So to summarize... David, chill out. I mean no disrespect and I don't want to 'kick you while you're down', but I think a lot of people are feeling the same way. You can do a PR blitz when you have more to show. Orion just needs more development time and work before it's ready for this kind of media onslaught, or GDC, or anything like that. It's not the indie game juggernaut you make it out to be. You can recruit people to your team without having to make an absolutely massive media bomb that nobody will even bother to read, like what you posted at Polycount in the paid work section. You're trying to handle indie game development like AAA game development, and it's not working.

You were a lot different back then, you weren't motivated by profit and you weren't shoving Orion down everyone's throats. Look, I don't have any problem with you personally, and it was good work to have back then, but my opinion of you has worsened since this whole situation came to light. You haven't been handling this very well either; I have yet to see proof that you've come to any kind of agreement or resolution with your disgruntled former 'employees'.
I think the main problem here is that there's a serious discrepancy between the David Prassel you want people to think you are (game designer, CEO of an awesome game company, but also an indie developer?) and how you've actually been carrying out the development of Orion. It's always been a small scale, small budget indie game project, and you've tried to make it seem like something bigger without anything to really back it up. The demo you showed at GDC really wasn't as impressive as you wanted people to think it was, and I think you put too much pressure on your team to try and get it ready for GDC. That's why people are upset, because you've made it seem like Orion is a much bigger deal than it really is. Indie game development is usually done quietly, not by spamming every possible media avenue with PR stuff. I know almost for a fact that people working for you sign no contract and fill out no tax forms, which makes it hard to swallow that Spiral Game Studios is an actual game company paying people real wages to do real work. So my advice to you is to dial it down; if you have a truly good vision and good design, you won't need to be loud to get attention. Just look at Minecraft. How much advertising did Notch do? None? And yet he's sold well over a million copies. People get tired of seeing post after post of Orion self-promotion more or less all over the internet.

I worked for him way back in the Source days (over a year ago, long before any UDK stuff was happening) and was paid $10 per gun for gun animations. This was long before David fancied himself CEO of a game company making a for-profit game.

why would AP have more bullet drop and less accuracy? It's aerodynamically the same as a regular bullet and goes at the same velocity. It should do less damage to unarmored targets (overpenetration) and punch through armor more effectively than regular ammo.

Lots of unique gameplay modes are planned (which you'd know if you'd read the other bits of the moddb page :P). Dueling mode and Debauchery mode (basically like TTT in Gmod) are planned as are other gamemodes. There'll also be a gamemode in which one team attempts to defend an objective (probably money inside a safe), another team tries to steal that objective and bring it to their base, and a third smaller team tries to destroy the objective. Respawning will be in waves to promote teamplay.

Malicious Intent will be a round-based objective mode. There will be no respawns until the round is over and objectives will be map-specific. There'll also be a sort of Golden Gun-esque gamemode involving some kind of crazy fancy engraved gun. More on that later.

The Debauchery mode is very similar to TTT, but it's only one of many gamemodes Debauchery will have, including dueling, a three team objective based mode, and of course the classic deathmatch and team deathmatch. There's also the possibility of a no-respawn round-based objective mode called Malicious Intent, paying homage to the classic Half-Life 1 mod Hostile Intent.

Why do you have to rotate the shotgun 45 degrees and around to **** it? I've fired shotguns and there's absolutely no reason to do that. The pump is not springloaded and it's very easy to pump quickly.

You don't need to make or rig any bones for Source engine view models. The objects themselves function as bones.

and WHY exactly does the G18, which is fully auto and holds more rounds than the Beretta, get the higher pressure ammo? Shouldn't it be the other way around for balance purposes? You can simulate subsonic ammunition being used when a suppressor is used if you just lower the suppressed damage multiplier.

Why is the Beretta doing 10 damage to the Glock 18's 16.7? They fire the same bullet from the same length barrel. The P99 is also too powerful compared to the Beretta and other pistols; lower the P99 and Glock damage to be equal to/less than the Beretta's and you'll be good. Also, if you're factoring in armor penetration to damage, the MP7 and P90 should be more powerful than you've made them. Also, you've pretty much made the AKS74U totally useless doing only 5 damage. Pretend it's not using subsonic ammunition and give it a reasonable damage value.

I hope you realize that shotgun damage isn't for the whole blast; it's per pellet. Setting each shotgun pellet to do ~90 damage is pretty ridiculous.
