Is it compatible with any realism mods regarding damage? My favorite mod to play this game with (can't play without it) is one where bullet damage is pretty devastating, meaning you could shoot a guy once or twice and he would be incapacitated or killed.

I'm taking it as bit of a rage post, not trolling. That situation sounds frusterating. Attacking the back of a character who is running forward is difficult-- hard to register ahit in that specific situation. Stabs work the best, especially if your weapon isn't very long. Otherwise the hitboxes work fine-- HL2 wasn't meant for melee, this game just happens to pull it off the best.

This mod rocks. I've seen early CR1, and it is GOOD!

This mod is incredible. Its the most intense multiplayer game I have ever played. When two groups of swordsman clash in this game it really gets your adrenaline going. The team is constantly working, refining and adding more content. Give this mod a go!
