"The game will be as true to its concepts as ever, with our own implementations as well as the key originals, re-applying all of the features that were lost in the final month's of the product's life as a modification."
...
Okay, just a quick heads up: this mod is not dead. We've had a lot of discussion with the *whole* team and the announcement follows in january. This will be an announcement in which the future (if any) of the mod will be made crystal clear.
Happy holidays.
With all due respect, but you'll get in trouble with the batman licensing ...
Nice work though.
I applied for an API key a couple of weeks ago, haven't heard from them since.
The fact that Impulse also offers System Utilities somehow bothers me. Don't you guys hate applications that try to do everything ? If it's a content delivery system for games, I put more trust in a company that spends my money on offering a quality service for those games, and doesn't try to push unrelated apps.
In an ideal world, this content delivery system should be more open, too. It's a shame that the Steam Friends protocol cannot be implemented by a third party (so you could at least talk to your Steam friends using a different application).
Well, since most people's first venture into modding is making maps, it's pretty normal they have so much categories for it. And yes indeed, Valve - this is something to ponder about :)
Powerpuff Girls ... who needs a portal gun when you've got powerpuff girls.
Great show, added to regular feeds !
Because writing a newspost completely stops dev.
Low res screens are mea culpa - sorry. :)
Betelgeuze: it is a test map, I just wanted the focus on the weapons.
Those last two comments had an unlucky timing :)
Congratulations to all the participants ! Some surprises in the unreleased category for me (never thought Barney's Tales and Operation Black Mesa would score so high), and I do miss Fortress Forever and/or Dystopia in the main category.
Awesome video editing too, I like the music !
Congratulations on a good release !
Crisp knows what he's talking about. Great read, great write.
There's also the runner's ups and stuff. But yeah, Infinity is looking mighty fine. Overall, it was a very rich MOTY, so many good stuff released or being developed.
Started playing recently, and although it lacks a bit of polish here and there, I like it. You got one of my MOTY votes, keep up the good work. The HUD indeed needs a bit of work, and although the Vehicle creation panel is nice, it still needs a bit more hinting on what to do next.
Yes, the installer has a bug. You have to manually copy the ZP folder from Program Files/... to your SteamApps.
Hands-down the best single-player mod of the year. Hats off, mr. Foster.
You guys aren't getting the credit you deserve. This is a mod with great polish and ditto mapping.
Oh, and people, please stop comparing TF2 with FF. Although the comparison may seem natural (it's both got Fortress in it ! omglolzors !), this is a totally different game. And I like it :)
When you're playing as the Stealth Class, you just go totally invisible, comparable to the Spy in TF2 or the Cloaking effect in Dystopia.
Hehe, great exposure for all them mods here :)
