Hey, sent you an application as a level designer for retaliation :>
Hey guys,
I'm rather intrigued by your mod and was thinking about joining as a level designer in case you need help. Your site (gear-studios.net) won't let me sign up to apply, though. Is there another way of applying/contacting you to learn more about the mod and the specifics of mapping for you?
Drop me a line on fjahgo@gmail.com or send me a message here. I'll try to check back for replies to this post, but I'm not sure I'll remember and I don't think moddb has notifications on stuff like that (?).
Cheers!
Thumbs up for the effort and for taking your time to share your experience with people.
Too bad the release was cut short of my last map, but ill give it a shot to see what this mod that i contributed to is all about anyway :D
And best of luck with The Whisper!
Doesnt matter if i or other people knew it already, i (and others too, i bet) always find it interesting to read about game mechanics :)
This is so awesome that its almost rediculous. Youre like that guy who broke the long jump world record by a kilometer or something at the olympics some time in the sixties, only you do it in mapping.
PS: Wiki tells me Bob beamon was his name, En.wikipedia.org
Great way of making a hallway look interesting :>
Tracking! Although I have no real idea what went on in the video either - watched it muted btw. A couple of us were trying to think of a way of implementing time travel and other awesome alternative stuff into FPS games, but never got any further with our ideas, so this should be interesting :D
The trees are square? Other than that: awesome.
Mmmmmmm... beautiful outdoor environments with tonnes of plants....mmmmmm.
Looks really good! (The third lea picture links to 01.jpg, should be 03.jpg by the way)
Those things kicked *** in the T2 arcade game! ( theres one of them in mid-air here: Arcade-history.com )
Tsss. You think i dont know what the terminator poster looks like? I meant the other poster, the one next to arnold.
(tongue in cheek)
Sweet, reminds me of the hong kong part of deus ex :D and i really loved the hong kong part of deus ex!
Is that a red alert powerplant on the poster next to arnold?
Im grabbing this the minute i get home!
Looks cool - but arent fountains usually an outdoor thing? :>
Ah, the neverending fast zombie / slow zombie discussion! I personally believe that there are situations in which both kinds can be cool. Single player games that are not supposed to be overly challenging would for instance benefit from slow zombies. On the other hand, Dawn of the dead wouldnt be the same without those mean-*** fast *******.
You have a link to that omaha film you mention? Which game is it based on?
Other than that: This HL2 film is amazing. The use of game sounds just completes it.
Yep, you really should :)
Scenarios varying from map to map sounds really cool!
I totally love ww2 and this looks really cool - but what sets this mod apart from day of defeat if i may ask? From the video the gameplay looks very similar?
I dont think kathir from India meant to say "expect" :> and as others have pointed out, although you don't NEED light to run your map it's a good idea when you are creating a closed room which would otherwise be pitch black.
Sounds awesome! Can't wait to see some pics!
