Description

Compare the U-Bahn signposts in COD WaW with the real stations (Black rectangles) from the U-Bahn map (1940).
Source: Urbanrail.net and Urbanrail.net

Inside the ORANGE RECTANGLE mean the stations from the U-Bahn's 'U2' LINE that should be suitable for a replacement of the unrealistic 'Friedrichstraße' station in the original game.
I'd personally suggest the devs to use Hausvogteiplatz or Märkisches Museum or Klosterstraße as the replacement in the new version of the game (remastered or reboot and such).

For signposts, they can keep the signposts of Adolf-Hitler-Platz (today is Theodor-Heuss-Platz) and Horst-Wessel-Platz (Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz) in the game. But they should include signposts of the neighbor stations also.
For example, if they choose 'Spittelmarkt' as a replacement for the original 'Friedrichstraße,' so the sign of neighbor stations should be:
Pointing to the western side (along with Adolf-Hitler-Platz's sign) - Hausvogteiplatz station
Pointing to the eastern side (along with Horst-Wessel-Platz's sign) - Märkisches Museum station
