well i don't make any new weapons or other new content because i actually see no reason of doing it. crysis brings tones of content and i never had the situation that i couldn't find what i need. also making a new weapon cost a lot of time(modeling, unwrapping, texturing, riging, sounds) which i like to spend on improving things or add new ones rather than making fancy and low quality objects. ;)

in case you want to make new weapons, take a look at crymod.com (i come from there) or wiki.crymod.com .
