I notice you have multiple models from Phoenix Rising, that were created specifically for Phoenix Rising and no other mod. Unless you found the original modeler and sought permission, which I doubt, you are using the models without permission. I know for a fact that the TIE Crawler model is mine and being used without permission. The Heavy Tracker, QH-7 Chariot, Armored Freerunner, Arrow Landspeeder, FireHawke tank, and PX-10 were produced exclusively for Phoenix Rising.

Please refrain from using them now and in the future unless you can provide proof of permission.

They may return as an optional addon, but it's a lot of work

Yes, but as noted above you are likely to experience failed save games

Hey guys so the ModDB release isn't working right now. Hopefully I can get a fix out soon. Apologies!

It will be released when it's finished. You can find out for yourself if it's better by trying the 2.0 demo or beta

No, because this mod is focused on Legends canon.

That's just how the game works unfortunately. There's no real multiplayer GC support in the mod currently.

The minimap does represent actual planets. Unfortunately because the PR galaxy is so large, we have to make the planet markers very small so they all fit in. I suggest pausing regularly and use the D and F keys when selected on a friendly planet to cycle through them.

I'm sorry to read you've been experiencing so many crashes. I'm aware that there are some crash issues in land combat on certain maps and in some situations. Savegame crashes are something we encountered in 1.2 as well, usually leading to 0kb saves. I've been doing my best to replicate and fix crashes where possible, but as usual the replication is the hard part- if I had the crashes all the time myself, they'd be fixed by now!

When does it freeze? Is it when the game is loading, or when you try to play a galactic conquest? Phoenix Rising takes a long time to load sometimes so it may seem like the game is frozen.

Land skirmish is disabled. The CSA is not currently playable in galactic conquest mode. Freezing when GCs load is because they take quite a long time to load.

That error occurs if you have another mod installed (for example, Republic at War) that modifies the base game files. You will need to either uninstall those other mods or make a fresh install of FoC to install Phoenix Rising on to.

It's something we're working on. The number of crashes we're getting in our latest test versions is pretty low so hopefully we can clean most of them up.

I don't know, that is quite odd. Those are pretty simple changes that should show up in-game without an issue. I would suggest extracting all of config.meg, putting it in the Data folder, and renaming the .meg file so the game HAS to read from the extracted stuff, then you can put your edited XMLs in and see if that fixes it.

Ah, you should be adjusting the Sovereign, not the Eclipse. The Eclipse isn't really in-game in the mod.

You've done the right thing, extracting the files and puttings the XML folder in the Data folder. However, if you have made changes to things like ship health, weapons and such, you won't see that in the tooltips because they are written into a separate file called "MasterTextFile_ENGLISH.DAT that you can edit with the string editor on the site I linked before (you have to import it first though).

Use the .meg editor from here: Modtools.petrolution.net

What do you mean? Is it crashing with "Application has stopped responding" etc? You should try the 64-bit patch if you haven't already.

We're aware of the unit range bug. Some changes we're making will helpfully alleviate that. The special ability of the Victory I-class DOES work, but it's not very noticeable due to our long missile reload times...it might need beefing up.

We've had other requests for a similar campaign, so it's something we might look into.

Thanks very much for the kind words! You're certainly right that the forum is the best place to go for advice and up to date information. We're currently hard at work on the next version of the mod, and we're hoping to alleviate some of the issues that players have been telling us about.

If you are talking about the space skirmish AI, it doesn't work very well at all because we haven't changed it. If you are talking about the galactic conquest AI, make sure you don't have any mods installed like RaW that put files into the main FoC folder. Otherwise, try re-installing the mod.
