Download No-Steam and you can play on the server normally. It's becouse No steam is outdated since it doesn't need too much updates.

It's running slow becouse RECB uses a lot of models.
The one that are making the game slow is the ironsights models; they're precached separetly and with different SPRITES.

Not so original, but in other words, it's a burned theme to base on your mod.

As you say, HL2 engine is good but not that good.
A new engine means BUGS, just look at other games using Source: CS:S, TF2, L4D Series, etc. THEY ARE ALL BUGGY!!

Illegal or not, VALVE doesn't care of a 12 year-old game.

Changing engines are for ****.
GoldSrc is much more viable than Source, the hl2 engine has a lot of bugs, look at the complains of a lot a people becouse of this engine.

Happens every day.
Or a company takes over a project or is cancelled.
This isn't new, but this kind of **** shouldn't happen.
