This mod and Freeworlds: TOW (a massive Freelancer mod) will make my PS3 cry because I can't imagine playing anything else for a long time when they come out.

continue to develop that timeline as a mod (wich looks pretty damn awesome atm).

'VP'-type maps are generated with various new nebulae- and asteroidtypes
added in the VP mod. If you choose 'TSH' the maps are generated with entities from vanilla TSH.

And about your last question: Do you mean playing vanilla-maps in VP?

1.: You have to rebuild the lost ships of your squad at a planet of yours. Or do you mean the fightersquads
spawned by capital ships?

2.: It's not possible with the game's AI, only with other human players.

3.: It's not just you, lol. Well there's not much you can do about it.
If you develop all sunprotection equipment your merchants should
be safe.

Freelancer-mod sounds awesome, though. I imagine a very intense fighter-vs-fighter gameplay with few but challenging capitalshipbattles.

I'd love to see the map generator updated cause I like using it.
The exlusion zones should be used for nebulae and asteroid fields when it comes to planets and suns cause sometimes you can't see them.
