Okay, I've now managed to FINALLY get in touch with my BETA testers, and send the mod to one of them. Once the two of them have tested it and once I've fixed any bugs they find (if there are any) I will proceed to upload the official version into ModDB! Thank you guys for waiting, and I'm also looking forward to you testing this mod and also give me feedback about it! :)

Well there haven't been many news related to the 2nd version of this mod due to the fact that I'm having trouble contacting my BETA testers, mainly because my computer has had serious problems. It's all fixed now, so as soon as I get in contact with my BETA testers, they will be able to test this mod and I will finally be able to release the 2nd version.

Alright guys I'm proud to say that the GoreMod-v2 is now officially done. Only problem is I can't manage to get in contact with the beta testers which will test the mod, but when I do I'll proceed to upload the GoreMod-v2!

Really look foward for you to play the mod and give me feedback! :)

Sorry guys, it looks like I won't be able to release the mod this week. :( I'm having a hard time making blood appear on your screen. I have asked for help at the OFP website, and everyone's really been great at helping me, and I already know what to do. But this mod will most likely be released by next week, when the "Blood on your Screen" feature has finally been done. Then my BETA testers will finally test this mod and when it's fully tested and if they find no bugs whatsoever, it will be ready to be released.

I'm sorry I haven't been here in a while, I went somewhere else and I forgot to bring my laptop, so I couldn't release the mod before. Anyways, the GoreMod-v2 is *this* close to being released. I just have to test it with my 2 BETA testers, and if all is well, I should release it this week, Shifter compatible!! :)

If you found any glitch in the first version that I don't know about, or if there's something you don't like, now's the time to tell me, so I can try to fix, or change it.

Yea, I did fix the lag problem. But I blew up nearly 40 people so that's gotta cause some lag, one way or another, because we weren't meant to blow up so many people like that in Deus Ex.

Since TLKwarrior is the second dev of this mod he'll be testing Gore Mod.

Well, since the bullet hole textures in Deus Ex were a little smaller, compared to the gore the bullets made, I decided to make a brand new bullet hole texture, which is a little bit bigger, and it's much more detailed than the original texture. Take a look at the new screenshot.

JC Denton now bleeds more than the first Gore Mod version.

I've posted a new screen shot, showing the player having blood on his screen. This feature is not entirely done, but you can see what it's like to have blood on your screen, on in this case, in JC Denton's glasses, in Deus Ex.

GoreMod-v2 now causes you NO LAG whatsoever when you gib people up in Deus Ex. No matter if you gib one or 10 people at the same time, the lag will be close to nothing, not like the first version that caused a bit of a trouble. So, since it no longer lags, I think I should release the GoreMod-v2 in one file only unlike the first version which was released with 2 different parts: HIGH gore and MAXIMUM Gore.

I'm proud to tell you that the GoreMod-v2 is days away from its release. Hopefully you'll find GoreMod-v2 much better than the first version of it!
Some of its features are:
Blood on your screen when you stab or shoot someone near you, or when you blow up someone close to you;
Some bugs of the first version are now fixed in the second version;
Compatible with Shifter?;
Animated blood spurts when you shoot or stab an enemy;
More detailed blood textures.

I don't know if I can make it compatible with Shifter or not, but I'm trying my best so far.

I'm also trying to make the gore optionable in the Game settings, so I don't have to release 2 different versions of the mod, like I did in the first version.

I'm sorry I haven't released any new screen shots for a while, I've been busy working on GM, mostly trying to add blood splatters to your screen when you injure or explode someone near you. I'm planning on releasing some new good screen shots when the GM downloads reach 100.

You're right. Shifter was probably the only mod that I didn't test with GoreMod, I'll proceed to make a fix for the v2.

I have already 2 possible BETA testers for this mod. I need to know if anyone else wants to volunteer so, in the end, I can select one person to test the GoreMod.

Instead of posting a sshot (which you could barely see the animated tex) I've posted a video instead. This is just a test, the texture might get changed afterwards.
