Have Faith! The Brotherhood will rise, we are still moving forward. The infantry has been a major step needed for such a beta, and we are presently working on a number of things; One small example is the refinery docking mechanics. There is a lot of coding details involved.

To answer 2 questions here, Nod did indeed inherit a plethora of US- style tech and weaponry, as the official C&C storyline details, it was smuggled in via the black market. As for why the Nod rocket soldier and Minigunner have more "archaeic" technology, we have designed it this way as a conscious, cosmetic tradeoff, since the Brotherhood relegated the basic low-tech soldier to little more than cannon fodder, whereas the higher-tech soldiers got exponentially more impressive tech on their equipment.

As a contrast with GDI, who using a more structured military environment, had more of a typical, gradual tech tree, more in lime with the concept of discipline and uniformity.

Another detail to keep in mind is the fact that this image does not have the ingame Nod shaders applied, which does end up darkening the overall model.

It is an early concept, but yes lol. This Noddie had the bad luck of being stuck between some GDI infantry and a visceroid, Between a rock and a hard place. :)

I'm sure we'll have some more detailed examples soon.

Being wide as 2 APCs side by side is too small? We took great care to consider scale when we worked on this. The only thing larger than the Mammoth tank is the MCV, and its a structure in a box, lol.

And anyways, the shaders do significantly tint the Nod assets, it would be difficult to mix the two up.

Out of curiosity, how does the Renegade version look more like the original?

*The hand is no longer carved out of a stone spire
*The structure is long and straight, instead of the classic L-shape, the hand at the intersection
*The entrance shape is quite different
*The original did not have the helipad (or whatever that is on the roof)

On the other hand, we have retained all of these similarities with the original, in our version.

Actually, the 4 small turbines and 1 large one on the (somewhat smaller) cooling tower are a unique addition to the GDI version. Because of its hybrid power (as opposed to Nod's heavy fission power, the GDI APP is starting to visually differ in overall design, even if the power output is still similar.

In a way, this is a nod to future GDI power technology (because by the time TS comes around, the GDI and Nod Power Plants are radically different designs), where the need for 2 cooling towers is diminished, to just one small one, and it has smaller turbines surrounding it, in the Tiberian Sun Power Plant of the 2030's.
