Oh and your description of the differences between a siege tank and your tank is such a polititian way of dodging the issue, the issue is not what your calling your units, or how they are used in strategy, but that you use the original models. If you trully want to make 'your own game' get rid of the original models and make your own, put some actual effort into it.

This sounds too much like reskinning, choppy work. I suggest you throw any concept taht looks even vaguely like SC material out the window. And do it now!

Why does one of those concepts look like you grabbed the mutalisk (Flyer zerg in SC) and slapped it on here calling it your own? seriously, thats Blizzards creation.

I suggest you leave gameplay to the designer, let the writer have his space to write the story and background, etc.

this reminds me of a game I saw on steam a long time ago, 'natural selection' anybody?

My suggestion, get rid of the twin towers. Firstly, half life 2 City 17 is nowhere near America, secondly, theres no point in having them there and thirdly, its a tad disrespectful.

I have begun picking up skills here and there, such as being able to write GDD's, getting into level design with source, and I noticed that something else thats good to have with level design other than art is 3d modelling and animation. Anyone able to help tutor me in the ways of the modelling? Such as examples of (free) 3d modelling programs I can use and any links to tutorials would be greatly appreciated. But if you believe I should stick to the level design and get really good at that before attempting anything else, then say so. Thanks :).
