|dub| @ v4 is here. Your opinion is:

Looks nice! Nice new style to go with the times.
Glad to see the modDB team keeps things fresh.

This mod always looked gorgeous and I was quite happy with the results on the first release.
But now this new release with extra maps and refined/tuned gameplay... well, I would be hard pressed to find a better HL-2 mod out there right now.

Besides that I am a nut for all things cyber punk, the style of this game is so tight.

I could rant a long about how good this mod is. Just try it and I'm sure you'll see and agree that is top quality stuff.

You own a copy of Half-Life 2? Then why don't you have this mod yet? :)

Great work dystopia team. :)

This mod hit me by surprise.

It's a very good mod. It follows the veign of an adventure game where you have to pick up various items to solve puzzles. You are given various types of weapons along the way, but it's no shooter as such.

I really liked the way this does feel like a total conversion and has nothing at all to do with UT 2k4. The mod really emerses you into it's world with good level design and fun puzzles and always stays scary.
The way the whole mod starts off, with you in an office is also really cool and the fact that once you are killed you can choose to carry on or "become a zombie" is also a little touch that makes so much difference.
The character selection menu is also out of the ordinary and I like it a lot. There seem to be a lot of "little touches" that make this game fun.

The real downside at the moment are the sound effects. Some are really bad at the moment. I don't think I've heard a worse sound effect than the one used in this mod, for when a pipe hit's an object.
Other bugs include that when you throw an item to the floor (this includes just bits of paper) they can give you damage ???
As stated below at the very beggining, you feel quite lost as to what to do, but with all the helpfull leaflets you pick up throughout the game, you soon find the pace and get learn what missions you have to resolve.
The game is in an early stage though, so these are all really quite minor bugs. As it stands at the moment, this is a decent mod.
The worst part for me, are the really bad sound effects in places, but nothing that can't be changed and improved :)

Good work. Give this a try.

The best (and only?) driving mod for UT 2004. Download it and enjoy it. :)

Great mod on paper. :)

There are really few other mods that can boast the same class of character modeling and texturing. Ontop of the fact that the models and skins are some of the best out there, the style is something fresh too.

The gameplay is so-so and needs a little work, but I wish more people would start playing this, as it's already got star qualities in it's beta stage.

Download this, if you want an alternative to vehicle (ish) gaming.

Ian is obviously a super gifted individual I hope this mod gets a little more notice... it sure deserves it.

This is one of the best and fun single player mods for UnrealTournament 2004.
It's so damn proffesional looking that it's scary.

As for variation, this game has it in spade full's. It contains everything from puzzles, jump and run aspects to races. Musically, I love this mod too and am yet to find a mod with a better overall soundtrack. New school compositions which don't grate even after the 20th time of trying the same map.

If you're looking to be entertained in a completely different way to UT 2004 for free, and on the same engine, look no further. This mod is fun for just a couple of rounds or even an hour stint of trying for every sun icon. You can go to this mod if you want to use those little grey cells between your ears, or for when you want to practice those reflexes of yours...

Overall, this is probably my favourite mod ever (on any engine), when looked at as a complete package.

Huge kudos goes out to the makers of this mod,
I tip my hat to you, dear Sirs.

All the media from this mod looks very nice.
I don't understand why they are not using the new BF2 engine, as it seems more suited for what they are trying to achive...
I don't care what engine this comes out for though, as it looks real nice what ever.

Righty, my two cents.
They tested it... so what?
That means they actually will have a very good idea about the game. Secondly if they test it, they have absolutely nothing to do with the actual construction of the game... they get to play it and say "look, this part is buggered"

At a guess the moddb staff will be mod fans anyways, so it's a given that they will get extra access to mods, which we wont. I would'nt want it any other way either, as at least it means they know what they are on about.

Is this really the first ever mod they have played before the public and that has recieved an award? I don't know much about this site at all... but I bet not ;)

This is a tiny little award, going out to an obviously skilled mod team... i really don't know what all this commotion is about...
Does the winner of this get a prize I have'nt heard of?

Also "whine, whine, the moddb staff are biased towards it"... WHY?!
Maybe because it's good?? Oh heck! They've found a good mod and God forbid they are about to let us know it's good! Run for cover!!11!uno
You should be happy that they partake in mod making, as a: it means they really do know what they are talking about and b: if they (people that are confronted with 100's of mods daily) think a mod is that interesting to help out with it... then me, well me, I'd just be happy knowing, that mod will probably be quite good.

Maybe cyberpunk is not really original (then again what theme has'nt been done over and over?), but from what I've seen the content in-game is highly original. It's not just your average 'two sides face it off against one another with funky weapons' (with slightly different skins and themes to CS - which is what 70% of all mods out there are).

It has that and more. Heck, the 'cyberspace' mode it has, is already more than a lot of other mods can come up with in the inovation department...
Also, seeing how complete it's already starting to look, it looks like the perfect timing to pimp this mod.

Personally I'm hard pushed to think of another mod, in a similar stage of development that can boast the same amount of originality. (Sure some other mods have some extravagant ideas that might be fresh and exciting, but how close are they to actually implementing them? The Dystopia team seem to have actually implemented their original ideas into their mod already - which is a big step from a great idea, actually implementing it)

Alos, IMO pointing out that some MODdb staff have tested the game, in order to cause controvercy is a cheap shot, as that has absolutly no bearing on the mod in question... imo, go to the Dystopia site, have a good look and read, I think you will agree that this mod is more than a little inovative and these guys deserve this little award.
