Well that's the thing you can make fast enough just not really accurate at the moment. The controller essentially has 2 big trackpads on it. You can flick it and spin around and change the sensitivity to be as fast as you want. I just haven't really mastered the accuracy of it but that's where it's lacking.
But I agree mouse 4 lyfe etc...
I've been playing around a lot with the one they gave us. It has some flaws but what they gave us is a very early prototype which has already been phased out.
It can play most games pretty well and all the controls/binds are editable via the steamUI. I don't think any controller will be better than a mouse/keyboard for FPS games but the steam controller can get close.
I sat down last night and played through VVVVVV in one sitting on my steambox and it was pretty enjoyable.
In the long run if it's as easily modifiable as they say I can see it being really good universal controller for most games.
(I might also mention I'll be doing a little unboxing/playdemo on the nmrih youtube sometime in the future.)
Welcome to the wonderful world of Milkbride.
No mention of No More Room in Hell? Alright then... Not like we released on steam and 5 patches since October but whatever.
Rats map brings back so many memories from 1.6. I'm Digging the map, looks awesome and I love the 80's style. If you would ever be interested in making a version for No More Room in Hell let me know. It might not work that well with our game but just tossing the offer out there since this looks like quality work.
I'm not sure if it's modders are unreliable these days as but that everyone and their brother wants to be a game developer.
From my perspective it's an over saturation of people, harder to find the dedicated few.
Interesting, best of luck.
As of right now we haven't announced a price. We are an indie title so you can expect a affordable price. Though if you follow us on any of our sites (website/indieDB/facebook/twitter) we'll let you know the instant we have a price set.
Location doesn't matter.
Had my eye on this project for a little while now. Liking the environments and what I've seen so far. Got my vote on greenlight.
If this isn't an April fools joke I don't know what is.
NMRiH 1.05 was released at the beginning of September. We had one update every Quarter this year actually.
21 down votes that takes some skill.
Riley I love you. You're hired again.
I'll upload a torrent this week.
Going good, we have quite a few new features we are wrapping up for 1.05. Right now specifically we are redoing our inventory weight system along with all the hud/gfx/sounds/etc that go with it.
Here's a first look at our new menu system which displays the weight of weapons/ammo via "pie" slices: I682.photobucket.com Still working on art but code is all implemented.
Sorry to hear that. If you have any questions feel free to hit me up on steam and I'll answer any questions you have: Dman757
Awesome to hear.
I've always wanted someway to integrate a mods social sites into it's profile like such: I682.photobucket.com
With these new features it seems to make more sense than ever.
I think you have the wrong version. Make sure you update to version 1.04.
There are plenty of servers but there are only two 1.03 servers that I can see.
Did you restart steam?
If yes check that you installed the 1.04 patch correctly. You were just supposed to extract the files into sourcemods.
If you think you might have installed it wrong delete the nmrih folder in your sourcemods folder and reinstall with the full 1.04. Make sure to restart steam.
Take them to a damaged zone to heal them 10%.
I narrated a video about the various features of survival if you want to check it out: Youtu.be
Install "Source SDK Base 2007" which is under the tools section of your steam library.
Extract the Zip into your steam directory: "steam/steamapps/sourcemods"
