What can I say? The cyber genre never sees much love, and when a studio develops a multiplayer fps these days, they must introduce some new element to break the monotony of substandard mods/titles to keep the player interested. NeoTokyo recognises this and introduces not only a fresh theme, but a new and addictive playstyle that takes a bit of time to learn, but every second spent memorizing weapons and classes is fun. Definately something I cant say about most games today.
Can't beat The Freeman!
"A slow man is a dead man"! Ever since StarSiege, tribes has been packing in some fast paced action using Jetpacks and friction diffusors as main forms of upholding movement. After a few sequels here and there, and some cancelled projects, the fans wanted something original, a fresh start if you will. Tribes: Ascend, is a perfect product of that request, bringing the originality back to the Tribes series. Tribes is the type of game that brings back memories from the days that skill was actually required to win.
This only makes me wish that games on Moddb, could be rated as a Zero.
Great Game, now we just need this on the PSP!
This game is the best PSP mod I have seen in a while, very much providing some competition for NZ:P. Everything about NBA is clean, frisch and neu. Although the game does provide some frustrating moments, such as figuring out the controls for the armoury, most aspects of the gameplay will be pleasing and worthwhile. The enemies are not too easy nor too hard, conveying a feeling that you had earned the funds you have gained, thus expending the last-ability of the gameplay. I present the rating 10/10, because not only does this bring gaming back to my PSP, but this also gives the PSP a purpose other than a portable Manga device.
It's Kind of late now, but this was not ment to be an all out game, mainly just for hackers and programmers to experiment around with. Kind of like the stuff that people like me make in their spare time. Thus why I give this mod an "Eight" out of "Ten".
Awesome game, great gameplay, and very nice multiplayer. I think you will have a very promising career in Game Development
