The mod team is very small, will need time until its finished.
Going strong haha! Only real issue is the time needed to actually have this mod game ready.
For the first release of the mod I was planning on having only two factions: Haven (Humans) and Necropolis (Undead). So that would mean at least two playable races being "Human" and "Skeleton".
But I am thinking of having a system for the Skeleton where the player could through rituals strengthen themselves and choose to become a Lich or Vampire. The Lich path would allow you to become a Necromancer later on. The Vampire would lead into a choice between a Wight and a Death Knight.
So you could count those upgrades as unlockable races.
For Haven it would be more of a rank system starting from common soldier then choosing between Priest or Paladin. At the end a Mage of Elrath (Priest path) and Knight of Elrath(Paladin path).

I'm sticking with the Heroes 5 aesthetic, though I'll make spear models for a version of the footman. :)
The mod is in very early development. In a couple of months we may make a discord server. Who knows.
Cant wait for us to get to the polishing up faze, making all of the new features we have look amazing!

The mod is not dead, but it is on a hiatus. I am doing the mod by my self now, and I don't have enough time currently. Scripting, animating, and making models take a toll on me.
(ps if anybody reads this, I am recruiting people to help me out with this mod, mainly a scripter and an animator, I can rip and make new models, effects for the mod)
Magic is planed, but it will take some time until I finish implementing it.

So I will just add a comment for those who can't be bothered reading the article and like only looking at the pictures (I'm not judging anybody, sometimes I do that as well). The biggest problem I currently have is animation, to be more precise implementing it. I am willing to learn, but also I'm starting to lean to the idea of recruiting an animator. If anybody is willing to help me out just send me a private message.
PS the next article will be a little late(I'll post it tomorrow in the morning), I didn't have enough time to make it.
If only it was that simple. I have CoMM on my PC now and I looked in the game and saw that they did have an animation for that. Just I don't how to change the code so it uses my animations. Hah but your idea would be awesome if it worked.

Actually I already have a good bunch of friends that started helping me with the mod, but most of them haven't ever modded M&B. Yea I didn't even think to release a stable version any time soon. Thank you for the info on Warband!
Tbh, rigging them will be a pain in the ***, so I probably won't add them any time soon. (Thou I ain't releasing the first version without all creatures from at least two factions (haven and necropolis are planed to be first))
