Nice article, I agree with everything you said except for the idea about being able to join the monolith. Not sure whether it was mentioned in the comments or the article itself, but it wouldn't seem to fit the story behind the monolith when they are essentially the brainwashed guardians of the zone.

Other than that, glad to see that Pripyat will be an interesting area to explore, as it was pretty bland in vanilla CoP. Oh, and have you considered creating (or turning an existing zone into) an area that doesn't have a trader or medic on site? I played SoC again recently, and that's something I realized really added to the atmosphere. If I wanted to venture into the dark valley, I had to be stocked up, I didn't feel like there was a safe area, as currently in CoP there's the Skadovsk, Yanov, and the laundromat. Finally, any insight into when 1.0 could be released?

Why don't you put up a version of the mod without the RCOM weapons? Sounds like Mr. Bradley has his panties in a bunch and it's causing a lot of STALKER fans to miss out on a great modification (which, I assume Beacon gave [or would give] proper credit for its inclusion in the mod). I personally won't play CoP again unless it's with Redux, and I'd love to be able to get my friends into it as well, but to have old versions down because they were beta versions (which I don't believe for a second, eh hem Bradley) just makes it harder to put together a solid mod pack.

Can you work on making this mod compatible with other mods such as Redux? I love the graphical changes that Complete makes, but I've struggled in the past to make it work properly with some of my favorite mods, so it would be nice to be able to play it alongside mods that focus more on tweaking the overall gameplay and atmosphere.

After my first half hour of play, thoughts so far:

1) Despite playing vanilla CoP (with ballistics tweek for realism) on master, I've already died more times in Redux (still on master) than I probably did all my last playthrough - which is a good thing, makes me feel like I'm actually surviving, or at least trying to.

2) Love the new HUD, I always thought the old one was excessive and took away from the immersion.

3) Couple of thoughts. 1 - remove the beeping noise when you get close to people, it would add greatly to the atmosphere. 2 - Can you remove the "find cover for blowout" on the bottom left, while it's better than it was before, I would still like to see all of that gone and return to how it was in SoC+AMK. 3 - med packs weigh 1kg +, after a full suit upgrade, primary weapon, food, ammo, I can see issues arising where you need to carry more weight. Not sure if this is fixed with artifacts, but it would have been nice to be able to carry a few more things.

So far it's much, much more enjoyable and feels more like a true STALKER game than stock CoP. Can't wait to try out the artifacts.

Been keeping my eye on this mod for a while, as CoP didn't have the atmosphere that I loved so much from SoC+AMK. I'll be sure to give you my feedback on this mod, keep up the good work.
