You can shove that Barret where the sun don't shine, Subsonic Bricks for the win!
Wonderful model
SLight hiatus guys, expecting some parts and pieces for a serious hardware upgrade. Following that a complete rebuild from scratch for the mod.
Offer still stands, don't know a whole lot about modding the SAGE engine, but I do know modeling(C&C Renegade uses W3D as well).
Yeah I could give this a try, born and bred in Holland to a Dutch father, Canadian mother and married to an american.
Lemme know if I can help.
It's been a year, I am hesitant to ask for a progress report, as I, a newcomer to this particular project, have no right to make any demands.
So lets skip all that noise and head straight into the whirlygig that is praise and adjulation.
I am in full agreement with you, ClearSky definitely ranks at number 1 of the three, and I believe it has the greatest potential for expansion.
I am looking forward to seeing the final product.
One should wonder what an MG42 is doing in the Zone, and how to obtain it ASAP.
NOw if only I could figure out how to stop the game from crashing to desktop at random intervals.
Definitely a stuka, the Sturmovik didn't have those gullwings and had retractable wheels, as opposed to the fixed pods we see in this image.
Kinda, not exactly the same though. The Stuka was a design-dedicated dive bomber, nearest equivelent the soviets threw at them was the flying tank Sturmovic(IL-2), which was a low-altitude heavy fighter/tankbuster.
Perhaps this is an aviation museum? the glass cockpit wer're sitting in looks like it belongs to an F2 Phantom, likewise out of place
Not nazi, just Luftwaffe. Nazis were a political party, the Luftwaffe was just a part of the military complex no more involved than modern-day US marines.
Seriously? The US hasn't deployed a domestic design since the 50's, 90mil was the last thing they developed themselves.
the 105's were licenced copies of the British ordnance and the 120's are duplicates of Rheinmetall's gun.
Anyway, very nice render, and the GDI Rig already proves it can be done within the engine.. If I may give one bit of advice though, look at technological designs, specifically ammunition feed. The rails upon which the turret slides doesn't appear very accommodating: there's a bump in the rails which would hamper the supporting bracket and no means of supplying additional shells to the turret.
Flatten the aft bump, give the turret some kind of locking system, a ring or hatch from which ammunition can be fed and you have a technically plausible design.
Judging by the geometry and textures, this surely falls within your skillset.
I have a suggestion for the Chaingun's alt-fire, if reasonably practical...
Spinning up the barrels and loading up a bullet in each(as pre-charge), then releasing those barrels simultaneously like a Metal-Storm type weapon.
3rd? nope, second tops. "deaftrapx" started to build a reputation I didnt want.
PILOTABLE STRIDER :D XD
heres a nice question for you guys...
mac compatability/probability?
say WHAT NOW?!? pilotable STATIONS?!?!?!?!
DAAAAAAAAAAAAAYUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUM
And im VERY trigger happy.
just trying to get the Gallery empty, and maybe some of the new stuff up there.
