I'm an avid gamer but back in October of 2011 a friend of mine recommended Mass Effect to me as a game I might like. Well, over 750 hours on 7 trilogy runs and over 150 hours making the Citadel Epilogue Mod, here I am, pretty much obsessed with the Mass Effect universe.

This is the first mod I've ever made and while I do work in technology with a background in character animation, I had never touched a hex editor in my life. It's been a blast and I'm glad I shared the Citadel Epilogue Mod since a fair number of people have enjoyed it.

To be honest, I wish I had started making it the day the Citadel DLC came out. But I figured I had no ability at all to do something like this. I did know that playing the Citadel DLC to me, was awesome, and it seemed to me that Bioware set this up as the end of the game. Not the story, but the game. I found it to be a great send off.

It was my next trilogy run where I decided to play the Citadel DLC during the game and that's when I found the tone of the DLC to be off compared to the rest of Mass Effect 3. So, after many private messages with MrFob over on the BSN, and 12 hours of research and stumbling, I finally learned how to change audio files.

After 4 releases (this includes a botched release which was fixed within 24 hours) and about 150 total hours of work, the mod is pretty much what I wanted. There are always little things that I might prefer a different way and I'm not a fan that people have to open a previous save instead of the end of the game automatically starting up the mod, but other than that, it's been a very rewarding project.

For people out there who played it and enjoyed it, I'm glad you found this little mod.
